The first week back to school was a major adjustment for everyone. Especially Rodrick who wasn't overly fond of waking up early for five days every week. But as the weeks passed and they made it to the end of January, everyone finally adapted into the routine.

"I hate Mrs. Smith," Rodrick grumbled as he seated himself beside Y/N in the cafeteria.

"Why?" Lexi asked. "She's awesome."

"She's making me do an English essay," Rodrick said as he bitterly stabbed at his lunch. "On that stupid play."

"What stupid play?" Y/N asked.

"Romeo and Juliet," Rodrick muttered. "She read it to us a couple weeks ago and it didn't make any sense. And since it didn't make any sense, I couldn't pay attention. Now, she wants this essay done by the end of the week."

"How come it didn't make any sense?" Y/N asked.

"Because she kept saying these made up words. Like 'thee' and 'thou'," Rodrick told her.

"Those are real words, dumbass," Lexi said as she rolled her eyes.

"But they're not commonly used in modern day," Y/N told him in a gentle tone. Rodrick nodded and sipped on his juice box. "If you want, I can help you with it. I've read that play a few times before so I can help you understand it."

"Or you can write it for me," Rodrick suggested with a smile on his face.

"I have my own essays I need to write, Rodrick," said Y/N. "All you're getting is my assistance."

He sighed and rested his head in his hands. "Alright," he mumbled.

"Y/N!" She turned to see Heather rushing towards her. Seeing Heather made Y/N smile. She was back to wearing her own vibrant clothes once again. Not only did Heather's wardrobe make a comeback but so did her confidence. Before break, she was always seen cowering in the halls but now she was able to walk without fear. "Y/N, I need your help."

"What's up?" Y/N asked, tilting her head.

"I recently joined the drama club as the co-director and they're doing a play in February and they want to do something on classic literature or historical stuff —which I have little to no experience in— so I need your help," she said as she took a seat beside Y/N. She glanced at Rodrick, Ben, Lexi and Barry. "Sorry. Hi."

They all muttered a hello and returned to their lunches.

"By classic literature I mean like old books. I've seen you read tons of them so I know you can help me," she said.

"You could do a Shakespeare play," Y/N suggested.

"I offered to do that but they did one last year," she replied. "And I need this to be a good play —something not many other people do."

Y/N racked her brain for classic books she had read in the past.

"Please, Y/N, this has to be good," said Heather. "Logan's going to be watching it so it has to be good."

"Why would it have to be good if Logan's watching it?" Barry asked.

Heather glanced at him hesitantly.

"She likes him, idiot," Lexi said as she flicked his forehead.

"I never said that," Heather mumbled.

"It's obvious though," said Lexi.

Heather sighed. "Clearly not obvious enough. He doesn't think of me in that way," she said.

"How do you know that?" Rodrick asked.

"Because we're friends and someone like him wouldn't think of me in that way," Heather replied.
