•[Kuroo vs Kenma]•

Kenma skidded to a stop and parked the car. Without turning off the ignition he got out and ran into the mall he hadn't been to in a long time. He saw a car, knowing Kuroo was here. His heart sunk, his body heated up.

Kenma ran through the doors of the mall and went straight to the game room. When he got there he was out of breath and he didn't see Kuroo nor Kinney.

"Kinney!? Kinney!?" Kenma jogged around the game room hoping to see his son, but didn't. Kenma left the arcade in a rush, still running the halls anxiously. He noticed shoes and stopped.

Kenma also saw a blood trail and followed that. He shuffled down the hall and stopped to the opening of the food court. There he saw him, getting on top of his son. Kenma saw himself in Kinney in many ways. From his hair to his demeanor to his love for games.

What he doesn't want Kinney to have is any sexual trauma at such a young age. He only thought the worse when he saw the scene in front of him. Was Kuroo about to touch him?

Kuroo raised his hand and Kenma noticed the blade in hand. "Kuroo!" Kenma sprinted towards them in rage. How peculiar it is to call his name, to see him in the flesh, to see him.

Kuroo ran up to Kenma and threw a punch only for it to get blocked. Their eyes met head on and Kenma really could not believe that he was looking his long dead friend in the eyes.

"Glad you could make it...friend."

Kenma backed off, looking at Kinney.

"Oh he's fine, just a little...bruised up."

Kenma clenched his fists tightly. He studied Kuroo. His eyes, his hair, his skin. His skin had lightening streaks on half of his body and face, his teeth straight and white, oddly. They looked fake to him.

But his height, hair, although spikier than before, they all were the same. Everything was the same, just he's crazier.

"I thought you wasn't going to make it you know." Kuroo says with a bit of a chuckle. "But here you are again."

Kenma said nothing, he didn't know what to say. He just thought of it all, of everything. Since they were in school, to forming a gang, to races, celebrations, taking photos and videos.

To Kuroo being there every single time. For everything in his life.

Kenma was seated down watching a video game when something hard hit his back. He looked back to see Kuroo covering his mouth in shock.

"I didn't mean to. Kenma I didn't mean to."

Kenma got up and ran after the young man, chasing him around Section 8 as the others laughed and recorded them.

"Ahh! Suna help!"

__

"Hey Kenma?"

"What?"

"I'm glad we're friends. You make me feel useful and stuff."

Kenma found himself grinning at that.

"Whatever."
