[Suna and Kita]
"It doesn't matter Shinsuke!" He screams. "I told you already I need to figure myself out alright? Don't do this to me." He argues quietly as he forced his tears back.
"My years have been wasted Suna. And for what?" Suna didn't respond, he just continued to pack his bags. When morning came he and Kita brought Yuri and the girls back to the city. They had dropped them off home where Yuri wanted to go, and they did.
Unfortunately the house was empty when they arrived. Suna was still worried about Kozume. However, before they even left, Aran called them. They updated him on what they were doing and where the girls are and he told them that Kinney and Reno are at Aran's which made him feel better.
But now they're back home and the tension was thicker than anything. Kita still felt confused, heartbroken, angry at this new resolution that Suna had brought to him.
He went back to all the years they've been together. The things they did. Raising Sam.
"It wasn't a waste."
"Yet you're leaving me."
Suna couldn't hold his frustration back and his tears fell. He's got to get out of here. He can't do this anymore. From friends, to lovers, to...friends again? He's got no idea where this would take them.
But Kita tried, he really did. He'd fallen for his best friend. Kita walked up to Suna and wrapped his hand around his waist. Suna flinched and tried to move away.
"Stop, Kita." He mutters. "Let me go."
Kita hugged him tighter and dropped his head between his neck and shoulder.
"Don't do this to me." He whispers. "Please. All my life all I wanted was a family. But don't be selfish right now."
Suna stopped. His heart melted when he felt a kiss on his neck. His hand reached back, touching Kita's face. It felt like years ago when they were just getting into this.
Suna saw a flash of himself. Growing his hair, losing weight, feeling useless because he couldn't be a mother. Wanting to do more to be a mother.
"Hey, do you think I should um..." he felt embarrassed bringing up the idea. But Sam doesn't have a mother, just two fathers.
"Sam is being bullied in school because of us and I was wondering if me looking more like a woman would help. I-I could get something done a-and maybe that could work?"
Kita frowns. "What are you talking about? You don't need to change anything about yourself." He brushed Suna's hair back. "You look like a girl now. You really outdid your old look."
"You should be disgusted sleeping with me."
"What? Where's this coming from?"
"I just can't take the stares Kita. Those women always look and whisper when I go to pick Sam up from school and they say how it's bad for Sam. A-and they always invite each other to places and always look at me weirdly. I-I can't take being a man with a child! I want to be a woman!"
Kita saw him that day. He even had a panic attack. Suna thought he was doing everything wrong. And so he tried to fix it. But when he tried to fix it he felt worse than before.
He didn't get being a woman. But he tried, but all failed.
And remembering that feeling scared him. He was confused, terrified, depressed.
