Kinney reached home and when he did he met the house empty. He thought that he would meet at least Yuri here waiting and crying at the dining room table, but he was wrong. It's completely empty.

Kinney felt empty. Lost. Worried. He was on his way back to Omen's base but told himself it's more than likely that they won't be there. He just knows his father wouldn't let anything happen to them.

He'll wait home for them. It's the only place he wants to be right now despite the brokenness.

Kinney trudged his way upstairs and ended up in his room. He didn't know how much he missed it upon getting here. His games, the AC, no worrying about whether or not his parents don't want to be in the same room as each other.

And more importantly...playing games with Reno.

Reno. He remembers.

Kinney walked over to his game and dropped to his knees, crying his eyes out finally as reality smacked him like a boulder. He didn't just cry quiet tears. He wailed his heart out.

Watching as his family fall apart. Knowing the thing that happened to his father, his mother drifting away and not spending time with them as much. Seeing Kuroo...being held hostage, and finally...killing Kuroo.

Kinney cried hard.

"Take me back!" He screams. Back to when he would spend hours on the game, go to the company and get new releases just to brag silently about it in school. Back to Reno. When they would play games and catch disgusting tadpoles and other water creatures Reno was obsessed about.

"And this is a toad!"

Kinney flew to his feet and backed away. "Don't you dare come near me with that disgusting thing." He says backing away seriously. Reno laughed at him.

"It won't bite. He's a little slimy but that's all. Touch it."

"No."

They were eight, on a trip with Aran again. Kinney always loved and hated going. Going was a drag but Reno was the only kid he tolerated in his age bracket.

"Do you hate me?" Kinney asks.

"Hm? Why would I hate you?" Reno asks.

Kinney stared at his screen as he placed more building blocks in place.

"I know it's been a while since we kissed but...you're acting weird around me at school."

"Oh! Um...I just...I...I didn't think you'd notice since you always bring females to our table." He whispers.

Kinney shrugged his shoulders as if he and Reno were in the same room. "I don't care for them. You know that."

"I mean yeah but they don't know that."

"They do. They just don't care."

"Why?"

"I don't know...girls are weird."

Reno laughs. "Very weird."

The both of them laugh.

"Mom...dad...dad I'm scared."

Reno reached the Kozume residence and noticed that the doors were open. He walked in in a panic. "Kinney?! Kinney!?" Reno ran past the living room and upstairs. He went to Kinney's room and stopped in his tracks.
