"Of course it is," Cristiano rolls his eyes
"So what, you think you're a better artist than me? " Neymar chuckles
"What if I do?" Cristiano smirks
"I'd say you're a fucking whore! Cmon cris.. Let me have this!!" Neymar whines

"I drew my friend.. I'm sure you've heard of him.. The dead poet.. The one and only, LIONEL MESSI!!!" Neymar shouts way too loud
"Hush.. And oh.. I didn't know you two were friends," Cristiano says
He remembers Lionel clearly. He's never talked to anyone about it. But he thinks about the younger man everyday.
"Yeah.. We met a couple of years ago.. I even tried to get with him.. I failed.. He was still in love with someone around that time," Neymar sighs
"Is he not in love with that person anymore?" Cristiano asks
"I thin he's always gonna be in love with that man. He's writing this new book. He said he's gonna coffee shop.. Do you know why?"
"No idea.."
"Because that's where he met that man.. In a coffee shop.. A rainy September 28th at around 2:37pm when he had just come out of school that Tuesday. I don't know how he remembers that or if it's extremely creepy to remember it.. But writers are like that you know? "
"Hmm.. I see.. I wonder if Leo-Lionel.. Would take back that person,"
"The real Leo would take him back in a heartbeat.. But this le-"
"Ney!!! I'm homeeeeeeee"
"Oh! Come.. You can meet him!!" Neymar says happily
"Huh? Who?"
"Leo!! In the kitchen."
"Ah.. Yes I know.. You're always in here," the man says walking in
"Leo.. I want you to meet-"
"Cristiano."
"Leo..."
"Oh," Neymar says quietly
They're staring at each other deeply. It scares Neymar. Lionel isn't sure of what he's supposed to feel. The love of his life is standing in front of him.
"Leo-"
"Don't. Please don't."
"What do I have to do for you to forgive me?! It's been 10 years 3 months and 5 days since we ended things.. Since I last saw you.. I haven't been with anyone ever since.. I haven't loved anyone.. I've loved you all this time.. Please.. What am I supposed to do?!"

So it turns out that poets aren't the only ones who keep track of dates like crazy maniacs. Or maybe it was just Cristiano. Maybe Lionel had rubbed off on him. Whatever the reason, he has suffered for a very long time for one person. A person who saw him with pure hatred.
Maybe Cristiano would never be able to change that. This wasn't a story where in the end, it's all okay. This was reality. It was raw and painful.

"He's been a mess ever since you two saw each other that day.. If you still love him then why won't you forgive him?" Neymar asks
"Because we had our chance.. And we blew it.."
"There's a thing called a second chance.. If you love him don't make him suffer so much."
"Cristiano and I just Weren't meant to be together," Leo sighs
"Who says that? Who says that just because you fuck up once you don't deserve a second chance? Who the fuck is gonna wait for you for 10 fucking years ?!? No one!! No one Leo.. Go... Go forgive him and kiss him harder than you've ever kissed anyone."

A soft knock wakes Cristiano up. He walks slowly and opens the door even slower.

The texture of the book feels nice. Cristiano smiles. He opens up to one of the last pages.
I ran faster than I had ever ran before

I felt like I was dying

I knocked on his door
And as soon as he opened it

"This one really sucks, Leo.. It's not even a poem!" Cristiano says
"You're stupid! That's why!!" Leo says taking the book
"Hey! I was reading that!!"
"Whatever!!"
