Visiting unknown planets can be very dangerous. The native species may not react kindly to humans and they could become violent. Captain Kirk decided to lead a research team to review the planet. On the research team was, Uhura (to translate if possible), You (incase someone got injured because your a doctor), Spock (because he wanted to collect information on the planet), Kirk (because he was captain but also cause he wanted to protect you, his little sister) and 4 redshirts to protect the group.

You had found what appeared to be a small child, it seemed scared so you walked towards it, you wnef forward over anyone else because you wanted to check if they were injured. You put you hand on the childs back to to comfort it as it looked terrified of you but you were wrong. It was a trap. The child turned into an unusually yet deadly looking creature and attacked you. The redshirts started firing at tge beast bug by the time it was dead you were not far behind, Jim ran over to you while Spock requested the enterprise to beam you all up.

Pavel watched the whole thing from his station, his wife being mauled by a creature. He ran to the transport room to meet you. When he got there he watched at Bones patched you up till they could reach medbay. Kirk walked up to Pavel, they were both in tears as your fate was uncertain.

"P...P...Pavel???"

He ran over to you as you called for him. Bones was still trying tk stop all the blood before you xould be moved. Pavel took hold of your hand to let you know he was there with you.

"Im here (Y/N)...i'm here."

"I'm sorry"

"For vhat???"

"For not surviving"

"Pleaze dont zay zat...your gonna grow old vith me you hear...your not leaving me now"

"I love you Pavel..."

"No...your not saying goodbye to me... (Y/N) pleaze...i cant live without you."

You didnt respond, pavel looked into your eyes and could see you'd gone...you'd left him.

"No...no...NO!!!"

Pavel started to cry harder, Kirk realised what had happened. He walk over to Pavel and kneeled down beside him and hugged him. The two guys cried as they had both lost the most important person in their life.

The medical team came to take you away, at first Pavel was reluctant to let you go but Kirk comforted him, Pavel let go of you and soon you were gone. Pavel and Jim stood in the transporting room for a bit, still trying to process what had happened, Pavel knew he shouldn't have let you go on the mission, while Jim knew he shouldn't have let you either. They had both failed to protect you and that broke their hearts.

Jim went to his room while Pavel headed to see you in medbay. As he walked through the halls, he remembered all the memories he'd made with you. The first day you met each other, you were both so nervous to talk to each other, you both had crushes on each other and could barely speak as you blushed like crazy. There was the time, you both pranked Jim by dying his hair green, you both ended up hiding in the storage cupboard for most of the day avoiding the captain as you had ruined his precious hair. There was the day Pavel proposed, you had been having a bad day due to the fact you had lost a patient, Pavel was there to cheer you up, he asked you to marry him and you cried as you said yes, you wouldn't stop hugging him cause you were so happy. He remembered your wedding, you had gotten married on the enterprise, he remembered how beautiful you were in your dress, how he felt like the luckiest man in the universe to know you were his wife...but now you were gone and Pavel didn't know what to do without you.

When he arrived in medbay he was met by doctors and nurses searching through every box in the room. Pavel found bones and ran to him.

"Vhats going on in here???"

"Khans blood...before they froze Khan I banked some of his blood, it was put in the medbay but no one can remember where...it maybe able to save (Y/N) but we have to work fast"

As soon as bones said it could possibly save you he started looking, it couldn't be that hard to find some blood. Everyone searched and search but the blood was no where to be seen, during the time bones said that he would from now on be putting all equipment into the medbay, he didn't trust the redshirts anymore because they had managed to make the blood disappear.

Pavel was now very upset...he had a chance to get you back but now he couldn't, he slide down a wall and collapse onto the ground, the tears started to flow and he curled up and sobbed. After a few moments he calmed down and looked up, he saw you laying still on one of the beds, you were their but at the same time you weren't, Pavel averted his eyes away from you, he was now looking under the bed you were on when he noticed a box marked K-Blood. Pavel quickly crawled to the box and opened the lid...

"Dr McCoy!!! I found ze blood!!!"

Bones ran over, as did a couple of nurses, they took the blood and started to get to work, Pavel stepped back and called Jim to tell him what was happening...that you might not be gone.

*time skip brought to you by Bones what are you doing with that Tribble???*

Pavel sat beside your bed waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Days went past and you were still not awake. Bones said it would take time for the blood to take effect but it was just so hard to not know if you'd every wake up. Pavel hoped that they weren't to late in giving you the blood.

Pavel had fallen asleep while holding your hand, slowly you opened your eyes. The last thing you remember was seeing Pavel's face for what you thought would be the last time, but there he was...by your side, like he said he always would be. You stroked his hair gently so not to wake him but you were unsuccessful, he stirred for a bit before waking up, he looked in your eyes and tears formed, you were alive. Pavel kissed you without warning but you welcomed it, you thought you'd never get to feel his lips on yours again, he thought the same but here you were, back together again and nothing will ever change that.
