Third Person P.O.V
(Risembol, 1915)
For (Y/N),it had all seemed to go by so fast. In one moment, she, Ed, Al, and their other allies had banded together to defeat Father, and had been miraculously successful. Now, it had officially been a year since that day, a year since Alphonse had been restored to his original body. As (Y/N) sat in a large field behind her home, she couldn't help but smile to herself that Alphonse was finally back to normal.

' It all almost feels like a dream. It seems like yesterday Ed Al and I were searching everywhere for the Philosopher's Stone, and now our journey's finally over. And Al...' (Y/N) stopped her thoughts as a pink blush came to her cheeks at the thought of the boy, her bringing her knees close to her chest as she rested her chin on them. 'He's changed so much since he had his body when we were kids. H-He's so handsome..(chuckle) I'd almost forgotten what he looked like. (Sigh), I wish, no never mind...there's probably no way he feels that way. After all, we're best friends...he probably thinks it'd be too weird anyway.' (Y/N) stopped her thoughts as a solemn smile came to her face, taking in the warm summer day. As (Y/N) lay there in the grass and closed her (e/c) eyes, she soon heard footsteps coming behind her. " "Al?", (Y/N) asked as she sat up and turned around, a happy smile coming to her face when she knew it was the golden haired boy. "Hi (Y/N)! I-I had a feeling you'd be here..", Alphonse answered as he sheepishly smiled back, rubbing his neck in nervousness. When Alphonse finally approached (Y/N) , he came and sat down next to her on the grass, smile never fading. While they sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, (Y/N) couldn't help but look over at Alphonse; She couldn't help but take in his features, how much he'd changed since all those years ago...and especially his golden eyes. And since the color of his eyes mimicked that of the golden field, (Y/N) couldn't help but see dancing flickers of golden flames in them, causing a pink blush to rise to her cheeks. (Y/N) was so absorbed in his eyes, that she didn't even notice Alphonse catch her staring at him, Him then turning around to meet her own (e/c) gaze. When Alphonse met (Y/N)'s eyes, his own widened as he saw flowers from the field reflected in them. While she looked at him, Alphonse couldn't help the red blush as it rose to his cheeks, him then taking in a gulp of air while they lost themselves in each other. However, Alphonse knew he couldn't keep his cool for much longer, so he coughed to break the silence as he rubbed the back of his neck again.
"U-Um,(Y-Y/N)?" Alphonse said, snapping (Y/N) out of her trance; When she realized what she'd been doing, her (e/c) eyes widened in embarrassment as she blushed furiously, breaking eye contact as she looked down at her lap, face hidden by her (h/c) hair in embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry A-Al, I-I don't know w-why I-" "(Y/N) no it's oka-" "N-No it's not ok!", (Y/N) suddenly exclaimed as she shook her head, Alphonse's golden eyes widening as she then buried her head between her knees. "I-It's not okay Al..", (Y/N) said quietly as she still buried her head between her knees, her voice slightly muffled. Alphonse then had a sad expression on his face as he looked at (Y/N)'s small form, scooting closer as he never took his eyes off her. "Why not?", Alphonse comfortingly asked as he put one of his hands over (Y/N)'s that still held her knees. This then caused (Y/N) to remove her head from between her knees, causing Alphonse to see tears streaming down her face, his own eyes then widening.
"(Y-Y/N).." Alphonse said, putting his hand on her shoulders. "I-It's not ok b-because...w-we can't do things like this..", (Y/N) responding as tears continue to stream down her face, while Alphonse immediately wiped them with his thumb. "I-I don't understand, what do you-" "We can't do things like this because of m-me. B-Because...", (Y/N) trailed as she blushed dark pink, looking down to not me Al's golden eyes. "(Y/N), what's wrong? You're my best friend, you can always talk to me-uh!-"
Alphonse then stopped himself as (Y/N) quickly put her forehead on his chest, causing Alphonse to blush deep red including herself. "B-Because I love you Al..." (Y/N) quietly confessed as her forehead still rested on his chest, a single tear falling down her cheeks. "I-I've loved you for my whole life without even trying. And that's why...e-ever since you've gotten your body back, I-I just couldn't help but notice how much you've changed. You're not, the same little boy I used to play with everyday anymore...y-yet at the very same time, you're still the same. A-And that's also why...I-I can't feel the way I feel anymore.." Alphonse then slowly moved (Y/N)'s forehead so he could look at her, hand then resting on her cheek while she continued to speak. "B-Because, we're best friends, (sad chuckle) and best friends d-don't feel this way about each other. A-And I know you think it's t-too weird so, if you want y-you can forget everything I- mmphf!"
(Y/N) was then stopped as Alphonse quickly leaned foreword, kissing her rather deeply on her lips, her (e/c) orbs wide. While one of his hands still rested on her cheek, Alphonse's other hand rested gently on her waist as he leaned closer to her. When he did this, (Y/N) finally relaxed as she closed her eyes as well, red hot blush taking full control of her cheeks as she kissed back, causing the same thing to happen to Alphonse's cheeks as well. When (Y/N) wrapped her arms around his neck, she let him take full control as she fell back on the grass, Alphonse hovering on top of her. Just as Alphonse started to lick her bottom lip, (Y/N) had to separate for air, meeting Alphonse's eyes as they looked at each other. "(Pant), (Y/N), I-I love you too. I wanted to tell you on the Promised Day, but I guess you ended up beating me to it huh?" Alphonse joked as he laughed softly, placing his forehead on (Y/N)'s as they closed their eyes. A few more moments then passed before Alphonse sat up, taking (Y/N) with him.
"I-I have something I want to give you.." Alphonse trailed as he reached in his pocket. (Y/N) then tilted her head slightly as she looked at him, before she giggled at him struggling to find it. When he did however, he opened a small black box which revealed a promise ring, decorated with a gold flower.

"A-Alphonse.." Alphonse then noticed (Y/N)'s expression as he looked between her and the ring, before he blushed red , waving his arms frantically in embarrassment. "N-no no it's not what you t-think! I-It's a promise ring.." Alphonse explained as he put the ring on (Y/N). "It's a ring that, promises you'll always be mine no matter what. And I got this one with a flower because it reminds me of you; I-It reminds me, that you've always been a flower in my life..like warm summertime. You've always made me feel like summer, even when it would be pouring rain. When everything around us was wrong, to me you made it feel right. I remember how nervous I've been to get you here like this today, but now..I'm not anymore. And I know that, life is easy to be scared of. But with you..I'm prepared for whatever comes next. I-I know this hasn't been coming out right, but all those things...made me know you are the one. They made me know that..t-that u-uh..", Alphonse trailed as he became flustered, (Y/N) coming closer to him as she kissed him on the cheek. (Y/N) then blushed red like Al as she laid her head on his chest. (Y/N) then nuzzled into his chest before she said one last thing. "T-Thank you A-Al...for everything."
