Chapter 15: Frieza Attacks!

Krillin led Yamcha away from the fight, confident that Goku had everything covered. They arrived at a large Namekian hut, and Krillin led Yamcha inside- then gasped. "Grand Elder Guru? You look..." The giant Namekian chuckled. "I know. Too many of my children have died. I am dying, slowly." Krillin's eyes widened, but Guru shook his head. "Never mind that. Why have you come, my friend?" Krillin blinked. "Um-" he gestured to Yamcha, "-this is my good friend Yamcha. I hate to ask, but could you unlock his potential like you did mine?" Guru pondered over Krillin's request, then nodded. "Very well." He looked at Yamcha. "Come stand beside me, my friend." Yamcha nodded and did so. Guru held his hand out over Yamcha's head. "Mmm... I sense a very large latent power within you. You have a long way to go before unlocking that power, but I can help you get started." Suddenly, Yamcha felt a huge power boost, and he looked at his fist in awe. "This is incredible!" Guru chuckled. "Thank you. Now, you should get going. Frieza is coming." Yamcha blinked. F-Frieza?! Time to go! He quickly hustled Krillin out of the hut, and they blasted off. 

(Later)

Yamcha was not happy sitting in a healing tank next to Goku as the others headed off to fight Frieza. This is what I get for using up all the remaining fully grown Senzu Beans so fast... He protested all the way to the tank, until finally he gave up. Right before Krillin shut the door to the tank, Yamcha sighed. "Krillin... just... try to stay alive and well, OK?" Krillin gave him a nervous smile. "I don't know about 'well', but I'll definitely try to stay alive." Yamcha nodded. "Good luck, man."

Yamcha sat in the tank for a while, tracking the energy of his friends when suddenly he felt an enormous power near them. Frieza's there. Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta began to fight Frieza. At first, Vegeta stepped up and fought evenly with Frieza in his first form. Yamcha focused harder, when he seemed to hear a voice in his head. "He killed us. Every last one of us." Yamcha's eyes shot open. What the heck?! He sensed a spike in Frieza's energy signal. That must be his second form. This time, Vegeta was no match. The group all backed up and kept their distance when suddenly Frieza charged forward and rammed Krillin with one of his horns, then threw him into the ocean. Gohan attempted to get to Krillin, but Frieza blocked his way. Gohan became enraged, briefly showing his inner potential by punching Frieza multiple times, knocking him towards the ground, then firing multiple energy blasts down at the alien emperor. But he got tired at one point, and Frieza knocked Gohan to the ground and began to crush his neck when suddenly a new energy signal appeared, and a green blur slammed into Frieza. Yamcha's eyes widened. There's only one person I know who's green and that strong. He smiled under his breathing device.
