Chapter 99: Fighting Back With Fiery Resolve

Marorizu quickly transformed into a Super Saiyan 2. 17 noticed this and shook his head. "A power increase won't do much against an opponent like this."
"Well, we gotta give it a shot, right?" Yamcha asked as he triggered the Kaio-ken times 40. He started thinking and murmured, "I've got an idea."
"This is no time for ideas. We need a plan." 17 said.
Marorizu smirked at 17. "I've got one."
"Well, what is it?" 17 asked.
Marorizu gathered the group into a huddle. "Here's what we're going to do." 

Eventually, Marorizu finished telling the others her plan and they broke up the huddle.
"OK, got it." Tien said.
"Well, let's try it out." Yamcha said.
Marorizu nodded. "Alright. Everyone know their roles?"
17 nodded. "Yes. Let's do it." They all prepared to fight Toppo, who still remained confident. "No matter what plan you make, your efforts are futile."
"You won't know that until we fight." Marorizu replied, "So let's fight!"
Tien stayed back, forming a triangle with his hands while Yamcha, Marorizu and 17 all attacked Toppo. 

Yamcha ran to one side while Marorizu and 17 ran to the other. While they fired energy blasts at Toppo, Yamcha began shooting nearby pillars of Kachi Katchin with energy blasts and making them collapse. Toppo didn't turn around until it was too late, and he was apparently buried under tons of rubble. But then the Pride Trooper shouted "Hakai!" and all the debris was obliterated.
Toppo jumped out and faced Yamcha, looking a little angry.
"Uh-oh." Yamcha said before he blocked an elbow from Toppo. Even though Yamcha blocked the attack, he was still sent hurtling back through multiple boulders.
Marorizu gritted her teeth. "Why, you...! Galick Gun!" The Princess of All Saiyans fired the energy wave, but it had no effect. She clenched her fists. "Dammit! He's practically untouchable!"
"Just because he's untouchable doesn't mean he's unbeatable." 17 replied, continuing to fire energy blasts.
Suddenly, Yamcha rushed out from under some rocks and charged at Toppo, throwing an uppercut that missed.
"Are you trying to get destroyed?" Toppo asked.
Yamcha smirked. "Nah, that was a distraction." He charged up an energy blast and tossed it into the floor, creating a smoke cloud. 

Toppo's eyes narrowed. "This is irrelevant."
Yamcha suddenly reappeared through the smoke and reeled back his fist, the Kaio-ken times 40 still staying active. Yamcha focused every ounce of energy into his fist, then shouted "Kaio-ken times 50!" His aura grew even bigger, and he clenched his teeth as he pooled even more energy into his fist. It began to glow with crimson energy, and Yamcha swung with everything he had.
The attack landed.
Toppo skidded backward, apparently shocked at this, then glared at Yamcha. "You... You will pay!" He held out his hand. "Hakai!"
Another Energy Of Destruction orb appeared, and Toppo fired it. Yamcha lowered his arm. His eyes grew wide as he stared at the approaching orb.
"Oh." he muttered as it got closer and closer. Finally it got within touching reach, and Yamcha held out both hands, clenching his teeth as he did his absolute best to hold back the orb. The Kaio-ken's aura grew even more as Yamcha focused with all his power, but no matter how hard he tried the orb was just too much. It kept going forward and dragged him along for the ride, and then it exploded. 

Yamcha fell to the ground, his entire body steaming from the explosion and his energy signal waning- he was close to death.
"YAMCHA!" Marorizu shrieked as she rushed over, kneeling down next to Yamcha and placing both hands on his chest. She sent a pulse of energy into his chest. "Wake up!"
Nothing.
She tried again. "Yamcha, wake up!"
Still no response.
Marorizu squeezed her eyes shut and buried her head into Yamcha's chest as she slammed her fist into his stomach. "Dammit!"
Yamcha coughed and immediately Marorizu looked at him in relief and joy.
Yamcha sat up and rubbed his head. "Ow... What happened? I was heading to Otherworld when I felt a pain in my stomach and woke up." He looked at Marorizu uncertainly. "A-are you real?"
Marorizu gave him such a hard hug that Yamcha felt something in his back go crick.
"Oh, I'm real. And I am very happy that you're alive." Marorizu assured him. Then she cut off the embrace and placed a hand on Yamcha's shoulder. "You just stay and rest." She turned towards Toppo, the happy gleam in her eyes now replaced by a vicious glow. "As for you..." 

Marorizu stood up, her Super Saiyan 2 aura shooting upwards, the lightning around her beginning to crackle more intensely.
"You hurt Yamcha... you deal with me!" Marorizu roared in anger as her irises and pupils suddenly vanished from her eyes. Around her body, a bright cyan glow appeared, but her yellow aura was still there and surrounded it. Electricity began crackling around her at an even greater rate than when she was in the Super Saiyan 2 form.
Yamcha's eyes went wide. "Whoa." he muttered.
Marorizu zeroed in on Toppo and howled in anger as her aura and the cyan glow both grew bigger. Her hair didn't spike up fully, just like with her other Super Saiyan forms, but it was flowing a lot more than in her Super Saiyan 2 form. This was a new Super Saiyan form- one that had only been achieved before by the future version of Trunks. This was Super Saiyan Rage. 

Toppo studied Marorizu in her new form. "You seem to have gotten much stronger. But no matter what you do, I will still stand victorious."
Marorizu bared her teeth. "We'll see about that!" She charged forward, actually landing a punch to Toppo's gut, causing him to get ticked off and hold out his hand. "Hak-"
"NO!" Marorizu shouted, swatting the ball aside and punting Toppo in the jaw. Toppo slid to a halt and held out both hands this time. "Hakai!" he shouted, charging up an Energy Of Destruction orb in each hand and combining them. Then, he chucked the new orb at Marorizu, who quickly got into a Final Flash stance. She began charging energy as the orb made its way towards her.
Finally, Marorizu brought her hands together in the fashion of firing the attack, and a yellow orb of energy appeared between her hands. It began to spark with yellow electricity, and Marorizu's snarl turned into a focused grimace. "Final... FLASH!" she yelled, firing the wave into Toppo's Energy Of Destruction ball. The two energy attacks began clashing, but slowly, the orb began overwhelming the Final Flash. The orb got closer and closer towards Marorizu, until she clenched her teeth and screamed in unrestrained fury, with her Final Flash totally countering the orb.
Toppo blocked the Final Flash, but he was now right at the edge of the stage.
Marorizu turned towards Tien. "Now!" she bellowed.
Tien nodded and aimed his hands, still in the shape of a triangle, right at Toppo. 

"Here goes!" Tien declared, "NEO TRI-BEAM!"
His hands began sparking with yellow bolts of energy, until finally Tien began firing super-powered Tri-Beams down at Toppo. "HAH! HAH! HAH! HAH! HAH! HAH!"
With every shout, Tien fired another Tri-Beam. Eventually he stopped, taking a moment to catch his breath.
Toppo remained oblivious to what was happening, since his God Of Destruction aura had apparently stopped the Tri-Beams from hitting him. "You have my compliments. That was a good plan. Unfortunately for you, your efforts are futile. No matter what you do, I will always remain standing." Toppo said.
Tien smirked tiredly. "Oh, yeah?" He formed a triangle with his hands again. "I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you. Tri-Beam, HAAAAAA!" Tien fired one last Tri-Beam, and the section of the stage under Toppo crumbled away. Toppo was so surprised he didn't realize what was happening until it was too late, and he was eliminated.
Tien fell off the pillar of Kachi Katchin he had been standing on, and Yamcha sprinted over, helping Tien up and slinging Tien's arm over his shoulder. "You alright?"
Tien nodded, then winced. "I... I think I'll live."
"Good, because you need to jump off."
Tien stared at Yamcha. "What?"
Yamcha nodded, like he was confirming what he had just said. "I'm serious. The Tri-Beam, and especially the Neo Tri-Beam... They both use up your life force, right? After firing so many Tri-Beams, you must be seriously exhausted. And there's no time to rest. Great job, buddy. I'm proud to be your friend."
Tien stared in surprise at Yamcha for a while, then eventually nodded. "Alright... I guess I should catch my breath. Good luck." And with that, Tien headed on over to the edge of the fighting stage.
Then, he closed his eyes as his body gave out and he fell off the edge.
