Strolling through your neighbourhood in the evening, you found yourself taking a new route. You noticed an anxious looking man pacing up and down outside of a large home.

Once you got closer he looked extremely familiar.

"Dylan?" You asked out loud.

As soon as he heard your voice he looked up, relief flooding across his face.

"Y/n! Am I glad to see you!" He sighed.

"Really?" You asked, noticing him running his hands through his hair nervously.

"This has to be fate... you, me, here right now, I am in desperate need of a favour, y/n... please?" He was practically pleading for your help.

You hadn't seen Dylan in a few months since you'd finished filming a project you were working on with him, but afterwards you lost touch.

"What is this favour exactly?" You asked.

"I have this dinner tonight with a group of old friends I haven't seen for a while, and when I accepted I was engaged, but um, well..." he hesitated, looking away from you, "she called it off. She didn't love me the way I loved her."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Dyl." You replied quietly.

"I couldn't bring myself to tell them... and I don't want to turn up alone, will you be my fake fiancé?" He held his hands up in a prayer, "please?"

You didn't have to hesitate, "okay."

His chestnut, brown eyes lit up, "You will?!"

"Yes." You smiled.

"That's great! Come on!" He replied, taking hold of your hand and leading you towards the large home.

"Wait- this is the place we're going for dinner?" You asked, seeing how fancy it looked and then looking at the clothes you were wearing.

"You look beautiful, y/n." Dylan complimented you.

Before you both reached the door it already opened, "Dylan! It's so lovely to see you, this must be your fiancé you told us about!" A young woman beamed as she welcomed you both inside.

It was a truly magnificent home, high ceilings decorated with chandeliers and walls plastered with expensive looking art. You felt extremely inadequate, knowing you didn't belong in this setting.

Dylan still had hold of your hand, he squeezed it tightly before leading you into an even larger dining room.

There were others sat around the dining table, it instantly made you feel better as they were dressed casually too.

They all looked up when you both entered, "Dylan!" They exclaimed, all looking pleased to see him.

"Hey guys! This is my fiancé, y/n." He smiled, leading you to the table.

"It's so nice to meet you finally! When we heard Dylan was engaged we couldn't wait to hear more about you!" One of the girls said, gesturing for the both of you to sit down.

You sat in between Dylan and another girl who was all over the guy besides her who you guessed was her husband since she was wearing a huge diamond on her ring finger.
