If this prophecy is fulfilled, you will all fall...

...One by friend...

...one by foe...

...one by family.

Freya's words repeated in Grace's head in an endless turn and it was driving her crazy. The fear of loosing her family was making her paranoid, looking around every corner for threats, but the worse feeling was the obvious question: was she part of the prophecy? Could she be friend or family?

Never would she have any intention of hurting one of the Mikaelsons, but these times they all didn't trust each other. This would split them all even more apart.

The tension between Nik and Elijah ran ever higher than usual and Grace couldn't stand it anymore. With Lucien here, obviously hell bent on making it worse, she needed to do something else. She knew that there was no use of trying to calm them, it would probably just get her on the wrong end of Nik's teeth.

Grace decided on investigate further on these murders, because it honestly was the only thing she could do without having an Original telling her it was too dangerous. The problem was that she needed to keep an eye on Lucien, both because she strongly assumed that these murders were his doing and also because she just couldn't figure his intentions. There was more than just protecting Nik. He was very well capable of doing this himself, there must be something else. And with this prophecy she was all in for simply eradicating him.

Cami's call came in quite pleasant, telling her that Lucien had been arrested and would be questioned. Of course she wondered why he would let himself be taking by some humans, but it was obvious that Cami could use some vampire help.

It was easy to pass by Nik and Elijah who were too busy bickering. She hated having to sneak out like some teenager, but she knew they'd stop her when they found out that this had to do with Lucien. They were probably right, considering he was nearly a century older than her and way stronger. But she was sure that Lucien very well knew that it wasn't a good idea to hurt her, because it would definitely get him killed.

She joined Vincent and Cami in a small room at the police station. Through a one sided mirror they could see Lucien with this detective that called in the witch and the human for this case.

"You do realize he can see us here, do you?"

They gave her a startled look, their faces obviously telling that they didn't know. It seemed they had no real clue of how far a vampire's abilities went. Well, to be honest Grace knew that no human could grasp that until they were a vampire themselves.

"This is some game. There's no reason why he would let himself be arrested. He could've just killed the officers and Kinney."

She mumbled, sensing that the discomfort of the two mortals in the room rose. They should've known better. There wasn't much to get out of Lucien this way. He was only afraid of Nik and Elijah. Grace, Cami and Vincent would be easy prey for him if they weren't protected by the Originals. It was the only advantage they had, but it wouldn't make him talk. Lucien knew they couldn't make him.

"Right, Gracie! Finally someone who has some common sense."

Lucien's voice suddenly sounded through the speaker, which made Cami and Vincent flinch. But Grace only stared at him with his hostility. The older vampire winked at her cockily. Then he leaned forward and compelled the detective.

"I'd like to speak with Miss Gilbert and Miss O'Connell in private."

Grace rolled her eyes while Cami gasped. She spared a look at the human while Vincent argued with her that she couldn't go into this lion's den.
