"You are the Devin Booker. You are the girls them caprisun, all they want to do is suck you out until there is no more. Get your ass up and stop sulking around that one girl man." Tyler Ulis said as he tried to hype up his best friend. Devin let out a small chuckle as he pulled his black sheets from across his head and shook his head at Tyler.

"Can you not?"

"Can you not Book? It's been a month Devin. You need to move on. All you've been doing is going to practice and back home. You as white as snow." Tyler said as he pulled the sheet completely off his body. "Come on man. Let's go out."

"Why? I just want to lay down here and be in my feelings."

"Over someone that broke up with you over text because, it isn't working anymore. Come on you and I both that is a dumb ass reason. You need to get out, get some sun, get your dick wet or something. I hate seeing you like this." Devin let out an annoyed groan as he got up from his bed.

"I'm only doing this to get you off my back." He said as he watched Tyler with a glare, before walking into the bathroom.

"You're going to thank me for this."

Tyler and Devin walked into a Phoenix bar and pool, where a pool party was in full swing. Different women of various shades and sizes were walking around in their bikini's soaking in the Phoenix sun. As Tyler occasionally flirt with one or two, Devin denied any type of interaction as he sipped on his mojito.

"Stop sulking and flirt."

"I can't flirt when she is sitting on the other side of the pool. Tyler." Devin said with a sigh as he watched Y/N gracefully speak to her friends. Tyler let out an irritated groan as he rolled his eyes.

"She wasn't supposed to be here." Tyler mumbled as he huffed out a bit. "Okay, Dev, I'll take you home because this plan obviously isn't working."

"No, I want to speak to her."

"Even after she declined all your calls and left you on read?"

"This can't be the end of our relationship Tyler, I refuse for it to end like this." Devin said as he got up from his seat. "I'm going to speak to her."

Tyler gave him a small smile as he shook his head. He knew how stubborn his friend can get, and wasn't in the mood to argue with him anymore.

Devin took long, yet slow strides to the other side of the pool. His chest started to hurt, closer he got to Y/N. His emotions were all over the place. He was angry, sad and torn a part.

"Excuse me ladies, can I borrow Y/N for a moment?" He asked with a small smile as he got into his character. Y/N's friends watched her with a worried look, as she motioned to them that it was fine.

"Don't do anything stupid Booker." One of her friends threatened as they got up from the pool side chairs. Devin let out a small chuckle as he nodded his head and sat next to Y/N. An awkward silence emerged between the two of them as he stared intently at her.

"Why?" He simply asked as he leaned back, to recline on the seat. Y/N played with her nails as she looked at the partiers in the pool.

"I really don't think this is the place to discuss this Devin." She said quietly as she continued to look ahead. Devin sucked his teeth as he scooted up to the end of the seat and watch her with an intense glare once more.

"Well, you obviously haven't been answering my calls or my texts so we can discuss it a proper place, now we are here, I just want to know why Y/N?" His hands cupped her chin and turned her head to face his. Her brown orbs were full of fear as she knew it wouldn't end well. "Why? Just why?"

"I, I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I felt that being with you became a chore. Always worrying about the paparazzi, crazy fans. Everything was becoming overwhelming." She said as she watched into his soft eyes. Y/N let out a sigh as she ran her hand through her curls. Devin eyes squinted out of anger and he dropped his hand from under her chin.

"And you never told me this Y/N. Every time I ask you if something is wrong you would shut me out. I've been trying to understand what's been going on in your pretty brain of yours and instead of confiding in me, your man, you decide to just end it off?" He yelled whispered angrily.

"You wouldn't understand Devin. You never do?"

"Y/N you are making it seem that all my life I had people following me. The whole paparazzi and crazy fan thing always catch you off guard. I had no one to guide me through that faze and you know I would've protected you from all of that, so please stop with the bull shit." He said as he let every thing off his chest.

"Devin. It just can't work anymore. We've reached to the end." She said as she faced back the pool. Devin let out a deep chuckle as he shook his head.

"Yeah okay. Have a nice life or whatever."

He got up from his seat and walked towards Tyler who were flirting with another girl. He turned to the bar and ordered another drink, before putting his head in his hands.

"You okay fam?" Tyler asked as he drink was put in front of him. Devin downed it in one shot as he shook his head no.

"Nah. Just take me home."
