Chapter 31

~~Five Days Later~~

You came back from school and went into your house, pretty worn out. You had to take a test in every single one of your classes besides P.E, so you were really tired when you came back home. You dropped your bag on the floor and collapsed on the couch with a huff. You laid there and stared at the ceiling with your phone in your hand. There, you ended up falling into a deep sleep.

You woke up to the sound of your phone ringing. It was on the floor. You probably dropped it while sleeping. You checked the time and figured that you slept for an hour. You reached down to get your phone and answered without looking at who it was, still sleepy.

"Hello....."
"(Y/N)?"

It was Jinhwan.

"Oh hey.......what's up....."
"You sound really sleepy. Did you just wake up from a nap?"
"Bingo...."
"Oh. Did I wake you up? I'm sorryyyyyyyyyyy...."
"It's fine, what is it?"
"Can I come over?"
"Right now?"
"Yeah."
"Sure.....I'll unlock the door, just come in, okay?"
"Okay, see you in a minute?"
"Yup. Byeeeeee."
"Bye~"

Jinhwan ended the call and then you yawned before getting up to unlock the front door. You went right back to the couch afterwards. Jinhwan opened and peeked through the door a minute later. You waved at him and he smiled before coming in.
"Hi~" he said. You waved at him, still sleepy.
"Bad day today?" Jinhwan asked as he came over to you.
"Tests. Lots of tests." you said bluntly.
"Dang, that sucks." he replied.
"My brain hurts." you said groggily.
"Does it? Do you need me to leave so you can rest?" Jinhwan asked.
"Nah, I'll just wash my face and wake myself up." you said.
"Are you sure? Because I'm fine if you need me to leave-"
"Don't leave!!" you said quickly. He blinked.
"Ooooooookay, then." he said.

You got up and ran to the bathroom to wash up. You were wide awake after washing your face. You walked back outside where Jinhwan was sitting on the couch. You went over to him and laid on the couch, resting your head on his lap. You browsed on your phone while Jinhwan played with your hair.
"Does Sooyoung have a boyfriend yet?" you asked suddenly.
"Huh? Sooyoung? No, not that I know of.....is she bothering you anymore?" Jinhwan asked.
"No, not really. She still hates me and gives me a crap ton of glares, but she hasn't done anything psychotic." you replied.
"Well, that's good....at least she finally stopped harassing you." he said. You hummed in response before getting up and walking towards the kitchen to get a drink of water.
"Where are you going?" Jinhwan asked.
"Water." you said.
"Ah." he replied. You got a cup, went towards the sink, and turned on the filtered water. You were drinking your water until you felt sudden arms wrapping around your waist. You could already tell it was your boyfriend, but you just froze as he backhugged you.

"(Y/N)?" Jinhwan said.
"Mm?" you hummed. Jinhwan paused for a second and didn't say anything. You waited for him to say something. You felt his hug get tighter and then he leaned his head against your back.

"I love you."

Your eyes widened, but you didn't say anything.
".....I just realized that I never told you that yet." he said. Your instantly began to blush so you tried to compose yourself. Your heart was pounding and your face felt hot. You put your cup down and then you turned around, locking eyes with Jinhwan.
"Oppa?" you said.
"Yeah?" he replied.
"I love you too." you said. He smiled brightly and then kissed your nose before picking you up bridal style.
"Wh-Wha-Hey!" you laughed as he brought you to the living room.
"Ack! Jinnie, put me down!" you laughed. He lowered you onto the couch and joined you, where the next cuddle session began.
"I love you~~" Jinhwan whispered into you ear. You giggled as you could practically hear his smile. You pecked his nose.
"Me too." you said.

And that's how the words "I love you" became a thing in your relationship. That wasn't all, though, there was another thing that the two of you got used to. Three days after, you went to school and expected nothing new because nothing happened in school much nowadays, however, Sooyoung came up to you while you were at your locker.

"You didn't forget did you?" she asked darkly.
"What? Forget?" you repeated. She scowled and then stormed away, leaving you confused.
Forget about what? Was there something you were supposed to remember? You shrugged it off and continued on with your day.

After school ended, your boyfriend asked if you could help him clean his office because it was a total mess. Of course you agreed to, but then something happened while the two of you were in the room.

You were dealing with the old piles of paper that Jinhwan no longer needed. Jinhwan was doing something at his desk while you were organizing them. You were working in silence until Jinhwan's pen accidentally rolled off the desk and fell to the ground.
"Oops, baby, could you get that for me?" Jinhwan asked. You froze. You processed what he had just said and then looked at him with wide eyes. Jinhwan didn't seem to comprehend why you looked so shocked until he replayed what he had said in his head.
"Ohhhhhhhhhh, so that's why you're looking at me like you just saw a dude jump off a cliff." he said. You still stared at him in shock.
"Um, yeah, is it okay if I call you that, now? Unless you don't want me to....." he said.
"N-No....no.....it's okay. Yeah, it's okay, you can call me that.....I get to call you that too, right?" you said. He nodded. You smiled and then gave him back his pen.
"Thank you~~"

And that's what happened in the past week of this month. You had started saying "I love you" and got used to calling each other "Baby." Ara thought it was incredibly cute and spent a whole hour squealing about it, but unfortunately, Bobby heard it and started a never-ending cycle of shrieking. He got over it though, but his reaction was pretty intense. 

A day afterwards, Jinhwan asked you out on a small date and brought you to the cafe.
"This is to make up for that other time we went to the cafe." Jinhwan spoke.
"Ugh, don't even remind me of that woman, that date went terrible!" you said.
"AHA! SO IT WAS A DATE!" Jinhwan exclaimed. You rolled your eyes.
"Oh, just order the drinks." you said. Minutes passed as you and Jinhwan talked together at the table once the drinks came out.

"Baby, when was St. Patrick's Day?" Jinhwan asked.
"St. Patrick's Day?? Uh....like on the 17th I think?" you said. He sighed.
"Damn..." he said.
"Why?" you asked.
"I was supposed to tell you something that day, but I totally missed it. Darn....." he said.
"Well....it's still March, so I guess you can tell me now." you said.
"Should I?" he replied.
"I mean, if you want to." you said.

Jinhwan stared at the table, thinking. You waited as he then smiled and looked at you.
"Do you know what St. Patrick's Day always helps me realize?" he asked.
"Mm....no? What?" you asked.
"It makes me realize how I'm the luckiest man alive to have you." he said sweetly. You blushed and then broke into a laugh.
"Omigod, Oppaaaaa, you keep doing this to me!!" you said as you covered your face with your hands. Jinhwan immediately laughed at your reaction while you got all flustered. When you put your hands down, Jinhwan put his hand on the table and opened his palm. You smiled and then grabbed his hand.
"I love you, (Y/N)." he said.
"I love you too, Baby."
