Betty was fidgeting with her hair while she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She tilted her head, finding the right way to actually liked how she looked.A sudden ring of her phone made her jump up slightly from the chair she was settled in. Her eyes flickered backwards and fixated on the phone that sirened with loud noises.
Her right hand reached for it and held it by her ear, answering it. "Hey?" Her eyes glazed over the clock and saw it tick slowly on midnight.
"H-hey." The voice on the other side was stuttery and clearly panicking. Betty had immediately recognised his voice as Jughead's.
Her mind raced into the scenes he could be in. She knew his dad had a drinking problem, and she knew his mom and sister ran away from them.
"Juggie? Are you okay?" Her sleepy voice was filled with worry as she stood up from her chair, already ready to grab her coat and make her way towards him.
"B-B.. Betts" His voice was shaky and tormented. Betty's heart wrenched into pieces by the sound of him.
"I-I.. n.. need y-you." His mouth was quivering before the line suddenly broke. Betty threw her phone onto the ground, crashing it, as she practically jumped down the ladder beside her window.
Within seconds Betty landed on the ground and swung her pastel pink jacket over the edges of her shoulders.
With rushing steps she ran away from Elmstreet, crossing the border which parted the North- and Southside.
When Betty finally arrived at the opening from Sunny Side trailer park, she stopped to take a breather. Her hands steadied her chest and forced herself to take control.
It was a matter of seconds before she stood in front of Fp's trailer and impatiently knocked on the door. Her eyes tried to peak through the window but the curtain was tightly shut.
With a few stumbles and some curse words, the door got opened as Betty came eye in eye with a tear-stained Jughead.
His eyes were bloodshot and she could see his entire body shaking. He didn't say a word as he let her in and slammed the door behind her.
His hands clutched together while he started pacing around the small open space the trailer had. Betty could see his trembling lips, his eyes flickering around in panic and his hands shaking like he had killed someone.
Cautiously she walked over to him, not wanting to upset him by making any sudden movements. She had recognised his odd behaviour as one of her many panic attacks she had been through.
His mouth started mumbling inaudible words as Betty slowly got closer. Her hand reached down to uncurl his fists, which she shouldn't have done.
The moment the blonde touched his hand he turned around, wriggled his hands around her neck and pushed her on the ground. He was on top of her, his eyes blank, his hands strangling her.
She was startled by his actions and before she realised it he had pressed her up against the ground. Desperately she tried to hit his hands away, useless.
Betty tried to get his eyes to collide with hers as she chocked on the little amount of breath that got into her body. He kept looking away, his eyes fuming with fire and his hands holding the same tight grip on her neck.
Her hands kept slamming onto his grip and she did everything to try and kick him off of her.
Betty's mind started to turn blank at the loss of oxygen and knew that if he didn't stop soon she would be dead in a short amount of time. Her mind was spiraling as only one idea came through.
