You ran to the door and pushed Colby put of the way, looking for your older brother.

Jen: Dak?!?!

You embraced your brother, Dakota, in a hug.

Dakota: I missed you Blondie. What happened to your hair and eyes?

Jen: I dyed it and my eyes change.

The hug lasted a while, then, Dakota pulled away from the hug.

Dakota: Who is this ?

He said, gesturing to Colby standing at the doorway shirtless and shocked.

Jen: That's my boyfriend, Colby.

Dakota: That's Colby?!

Jen: Dak, we haven't talked since I was 8 and a half, how do you know about Colby?

Dakota: Mom and dad sent me a letter seeing if I could get to go on leave for the first time in 10 years because you were in deep trouble with a guy named Colby.

Jen: Dak, you know mom and dad-

Dakota: And you know me Blondie.

Jen: Colby wasn't the problem.

Dakota: So there actually was a guy giving you trouble and mom and dad weren't just bullshitting me?!

Jen: Yeah, but we've got that taken care of now.

Dakota: Are you sure?

He said, gesturing to your eyes. You hadn't slept for 2 days. You kept having the dream about the party.

Jen: It's a long story.

Dakota: Well I have time. I'm staying here for a few days, after all, I'm on leave, and I want to know what's going on in my little sister's life.

Dakota was your big brother. He's 10 years older than you. When he became 18, he left to become a Navy SEAL. You haven't seen or heard from him in ten years. He has shaggy black hair and gray eyes that can occasionally be green. He grew up in Tennessee until he was 10. When you were born, we moved to L.A. He kept the country lifestyle and accent. You welcomed Dakota into the house.

Jen: You can stay in mom and dad's room.

Dakota: What about the guestroom?

Jen: About that...

Ash came downstairs just in time.

Ash: Is everything okay down here?

His eyes landed on Dakota.

Ash: And who is that?

Dakota: I could ask the same thing.

Jen: Everything's fine Ash, and this is my brother, Dakota. And Dakota, this is Ash.

Dakota: Blondie, how many people live here?

Ash: Who the hell is Blondie?

Jen: I am, Ash, and only us three.

Dakota: So... What's happened while I've been gone?

Jen: That's a very  long story.

Ash: I'll start supper.

Colby: Good idea.

Ash: So, Jen, why haven't we heard anything about your brother?

Dakota: I wanna know why I haven't heard from you in ten years Blondie.

Jen: I have the same answer for both of those. I was eight when you left Dak. I thought it would be easier to forget about you than to see you die while my last letter was still being shipped.

Dakota: You thought it would be easier to forget about me than to care about me?

Jen: I was eight. I was too young to understand.

Dakota: So? You've grown up, what about now Blondie?

Jen: I thought the damage I had done was irreparable.

Dakota: Jen, I can forgive you for anything. Even your poor choice in guys.

Jen: You know, I would laugh at that, but Colby deserves more credit than what you give him. He's helped me a lot.

Dakota: So how long have mom and dad been gone?

Jen: Since they were here more than a couple hours? Two years.

Dakota: What?!

Jen: You've missed a lot Dak.

Dakota: What's the most important thing I've missed?

Jen: I've almost died...5 different times.

Dakota: What?!?!?!

Colby: Jen, can I talk to you?

He looked at Dakota.

Colby: Alone.

Jen: Sure Colbs. Hey guys, I'll be right back.

You and Colby went to your room to talk.

Colby: First thing, I think it's time to tell them.

Colby grabbed your wrist.

Jen: No. I-

Colby: You can't lie to your brother.

Jen: You can't lie to yours either.

Colby: That's the second thing. I was hoping you could tell me a signal to go hide when you get to the party in sophomore year.

Jen: Nope. You're actually telling that story. It would be better coming from a person that was actually conscious during the incident.

Colby: Jen, your brother already hates me. He is going to literally kill me when he hears that.

Jen: No he won't. You're dating his little sister.

Colby: Exactly! That's why I'm scared.

Jen: I won't let him kill you, don't worry.

You giggled.

Colby: Okay.

Jen: Are you ready to go back to everyone else?

Colby: Almost.

He said, moving your head up to look at him. He crashed his lips into yours. It was like one of the scenes from the movies, which was amazing.

Colby: I wish we could do this more often.

Jen: You just wait until I fulfill that promise we talked about.

Colby: Oh I can't wait baby.

He said, letting his hands fall on your hips.

Jen: I think they're waiting on us.

Colby: Lets get this over with.

Jen: You'll be fine babe.

Colby: Whatever you say.

You and Colby walked out of your room to confront the others about the information they don't know about yet.

Dakota: It's about time you guys came back.

Jen: Are you ready to know everything about me?

Dakota: Yes.

Ash was busying making supper but you could tell he was listening.

Jen: Ash you may want to hear this...you don't know everything.

Ash: Okay... What do I not know?
