Part 6 - Reminisce About Past

Ram made sure that Priya worked for extra hours in the office as per his order. Priya was craving to be with Riya as she is not well today.

After a few hours,

"You can leave for the day and complete the rest of the work tomorrow." Ram said finally.

Priya threw an angry look at him. She quickly raised up from her seat collecting her things.

Ram said, "I will drop you home."

Priya controlled her anger. "Thanks but no thanks, I will go by myself."

"But how?" Ram asked stopping her in the middle.

Priya stopped moving and replied looking back at him over her shoulder. "That is none of your business. You do not need to worry about me."

"This is exactly my business." He said yelling at her. Priya flinched her face with the loud voice.

"Please, stop yelling at me. It will not scare me anymore. I am already late and my daughter must be craving for me." Priya said, turning around.

"Worrying about your daughter alone but what about your sons?" Ram hit her weakest link.

Priya heart ached badly hearing about her twin sons. She controlled her emotion and said, "My daughter needs me and moreover you only told me that I'm not their mother anymore." Her voice choked with heavy emotions.

"Yeah right, you are not their mother. You don't deserve to be their mother." Ram said angrily.

Priya tried hard to control her emotions.

"Remember one thing; I'm not going to forgive you for abandoning us. However, I cannot let you go alone at night, you are coming with me and that is it. Am I clear to you?" He does not wait for her reply.

He held her wrist leading her out along with him. Priya wriggled to release her hand.

Ram stopped when he saw Ved waiting for Priya, which in turn increased his temper to the peak level.

"Ram, please leave my hand." Priya said.

Ram did not release her hand but stood still glaring at Ved who was waiting at the entrance to pick up Priya.

Ved was leaning on the side of the car when he noticed Ram. He moved towards their direction and stood in front of them.

Ved was completely shocked to find Ram at Priya's workplace. He was not aware that Priya worked under him. To his much surprise, Priya also did not care to tell him about the recent events. He just glanced at her for a moment before turning his gaze to Ram who was still holding her hand firmly.

"Leave her, Ram." Ved said angrily.

"What are you doing here? How dare you to come to my office?" Ram squinted his eyes at Ved.

Turning towards Priya, Ram said, "Oh so your lover is doing OT for you. What a care? What a love?" He clapped slowly in a sarcastic manner.

"Ram, leave her hand or else..." Ved warned Ram.

"Else what? Tell me, what you will do if I do not leave her." He left her hand only to grab Ved's collar in his tight fist.

"Tell me, what will you do?" Ram almost choked him.

"Ram, don't do this. Please leave him." Priya said, pulling Ram's hand away from Ved.

"Why is it hurting you?" Ram asked Priya, jerking Ved backwards. Ved stumbled to stand on his feet.

Priya did not pay any attention to Ram and turned to Ved.

"Ved, lets go from here." Priya told Ved.
