Maddie was out on a trail going around the perimeter of the town getting some exercise with her cats. The scenery was beautiful, especially at dusk! Perfect for a family walk! They were just about to head home for dinner when suddenly, the tabbies were gone! Maddie could hear them meowing for help! She looked around and saw two figures walking away with cages in hand. She sprinted after them! She could hear the figures talking to each other. "Keep them quiet! Their mother could hear them!" Oh, they got that right! "We need them as bait!" Bait?! What were they going to do to her babies?! She sped in front of them and stood in they're way, giving them a warning hiss. Wait wha- they just walked past her!...no! She wouldn't give up that easily! She crept behind them and switched to human form, quickly opening the doors to the cages. The cats hopped out and the five began running back into town. They managed to slip into an alleyway and hid inside an empty black trash can. They could hear footsteps. Hopefully, the shadow from the awning overhead would add to their camouflage. The cats kept silent as the footsteps sounded awfully close. BANG! Oh no! The can fell over! Maddie did her best to stop these people from stealing her kitties but it was all for naught. The put the cages in their car and drove away so fast, not even speedy kitty Maddie could keep up! No! No no no!

6:17 PM

Maddie hopped through the window into the condo and swapped to human form, trying her hardest not to cry! She grabbed a tray of muffins and ran up to her room. She climbed into her bed and began munching on muffins to cheer herself up. She heard the door open. "Go away!" "Maddie...what happened?" Cleo asked as she walked in and sat next to her sister. "My cats! Someone took my cats! I-I couldn't save them!" Maddie couldn't hold back the tears anymore and let herself cry on her sister's shoulder. "There there, I will help you get them back,"

6:24 PM

"...and I heard them say they needed to use them as bait! Who knows what they could be doing to my little fur babies?!" Maddie explained. Cleo was deep in thought, trying to put all the pieces together. "A black van with dark windows...that sounds like...the car that was following May this morning..." she gasped. "Someone is after us and they're using the cats as bait to lure us into something! I think we need to try and piece together who these people are, maybe we should go talk to May to see if she knows anything else," Cleo walked downstairs to find May laying in Mettaton's lap, drawing in her sketchbook. "May, tell me everything you know about the incident this morning!" May turned her sketchbook around to reveal a fine sketch of the van. "Okay, I'll just borrow this real quick," Cleo took the sketchbook and walked up to Maddie's room. "Is this the van they were driving?" Cleo asked, holding the sketchbook up to the cat tree. She heard a hiss. "I'll take that as a yes," She walked back downstairs. "Okay, suspicion confirmed, someone took Maddie's cats and they were driving the same van. Someone is after us,"
