Charlotte was hoping for a better day than yesterday. Not that she'd had a bad day, she'd actually had a pretty good one. She'd made friends and got on with everyone - well almost everyone.
Jessica Stanley hadn't been the most welcoming to Charlotte and maybe that was a fault on Charlottes part, but she couldn't think of something that she could have done to make Jessica act the way she did. She could only hope that Jessica had just woken up on the wrong side of the bed, not everyone likes Mondays.Hopefully Jessica liked Tuesdays and would be in a much better mood.
And as Charlotte pulled up outside the school she had a question running through her mind: would she sit with? Charlotte felt as though she owed Bella Swan a bit of respect, even if she was yet to meet the girl. The ginger just had to put herself in the girls shoes, would Charlotte like her boyfriend sat with a girl he couldn't help but flirt with?
The first one was a hard question. One Charlotte didn't have to answer, because as soon as she got out of her car she was jumped on by the same boy she wanted to avoid. There was no way she would get Jessica on her side if Mike wouldn't leave her alone.
"Charlotte, hi, I was hoping to catch you". Why? She thought, why did he have to catch her? Charlotte didn't want to be rude, so forced her usual smile onto her face.
"Oh were you?" Charlotte may be being polite, but she wasn't going to try to have a large conversation with Mike, she could be kind, but not too kind.
"Yeah, wanted to talk to you before everyone else got a chance to." At this Charlotte turned her whole body towards Mike, her smile gone from her face.
"Michael, where's your girlfriend?" Mikes smile also faded from his face at this. Why did she have to bring Bella up? He thought. She was the one thing he didn't want to talk about right now, not with Charlotte anyway. He also couldn't help but notice how Charlotte had used his full name, he already didn't like it when she did that.
"Oh she's with Jess, I think the others might be there now too. We can go join them if you want?"
Charlotte liked the others, well she liked Tyler and Angela anyway. She did like Eric too, but some of his qualities just put her off him slightly. She couldn't say if she liked Bella or not, having never met her. And as for Jessica.... she had potential.
"Yes, we can do." And so they did, they went on their way towards the school to find the others.
Mike tried to talk to Charlotte on the way, but it was hard to have a conversation with someone who would only laugh or reply with a yes or a no. Unbeknown to the pair, some others were listening in on the conversation, finding Charlottes replies, or lack thereof, rather humorous.
