After the people in masks had disappeared, they had no choice but to call the sheriff so they could take the body to the morgue. Imogen went with Scott to the hospital since he wanted to talk to his mom.
While she waited for him, she called Isaac wondering why he hadn't come but he told her that he and Malia had gone to Tracy's house where they found a book. A book that had the picture of the people in masks and that they were called Dread Doctors.
She told him in turn about how these Dread Doctors had shown up and killed Lucas and called him a failure before disappearing.
Before they continued their conversation, Scott showed up looking panicked. She hung up on Isaac as her boyfriend told her that after he and his mom left the morgue someone came in and took Lucas from the morgue. Scott wanted to go to the animal clinic and see if Tracy's body was still there and when they got there, it was gone as well.
The next day, Imogen had gone to the library with the book that Malia and Isaac had found to make copies for everyone to read. Her boyfriend found as she finished making the last copy.
They started walking down the stairs together, "I don't think the Dread Doctors are the ones stealing the bodies."
Imogen glanced at him curiously, "Why?"
"Think about it." He said, "They killed Tracy and walked away. They killed Lucas and walked away. Why would they leave and come back to take the bodies?"
She blinked, "Someone else has to be taking them."
"But the bodies aren't just bodies. They're... They're failures."
"So if the Chimeras are all failures, what's the success going to be?" She wondered aloud. What were the dread doctors even trying to create?
"Bad." He muttered. "Probably really bad." He stopped walking as they were almost out the door.
