The Alpha's concubine (Girl x Werewolf)

Chapter 42/NIGHTRIDER

The Alpha got up and went to the second door. A door no one had used. I followed him. The door lead to a small courtyard. There stood a fairly large Acrith with a werewolf holding the reins. The Alpha grabbed the offered reins, put his foot in the stirrup and leapt up to the saddle. He held his hand out for me to join him. I looked at the places I might scrabble up, it was tricky in this dress. Just then the stable boy ( stable person ? stable being?) Half transformed into his wolf form and lifted me up by the hips to the height of the saddle. I pulled my skirt back and stood astride the horse and was dropped gentled into the saddle. I was sitting before the Alpha with his arms around me.

"OMG. I said. A midnight ride together, and this is in no way cheesy or anything." I said.

The Alpha smiled "Lets' go".

He urged the horse to walk and we started moving in a circle. The huge gate was opened and we trotted out of the courtyard. As we did I looked up to see some faces looking down from the windows above us. I couldn't see the faces but I noticed the movement as people dashed back into the dark. Through the gates and down a small cobbled tunnel we came to another set of gates. These opened themselves and we were on a small grassed area outside the walls of the castle. Even in this darkness, you could see there was a vertical drop down the everyside of the grass about us.

"Short ride," I said. "this is a Lycan thing right?"

"no this is a Lycan thing," the alpha says. 

The Alpha kept urging the Acrith towards the edge.

"WTF do you think your doing? Can't you see that's the edge? Stop you canine clod." I said in alarm. The alpha grabbed my waist and I couldn't even jump off. He started laughing. Just then I noticed a large horn emerging from the Acrith head.

"Trust my luck to die on a suicidal unicorn!" I said.

I looked down to see the entire Acrith begin to reshape. Then I figured it out. It was a xenomorph, like the Lycans. The Acrith was changing with a huge pair of wings emerging. With that, it was over the edge and falling. The Alpha held me tight to him. We began to plummet like a bag of bricks with a death wish down the side of the rock edge. I let out a scream and grabbed him. The trees looked awfully close and were approaching faster than bad news. The Acrith-horse-bird thing spread its newly developed wings and began to glide. We swooped over the forest.

"FUCK!" I said. 

Soon we were flying over the forest. Even with the moonlight, there was the darkness in the distance. You didn't see the distant curve of the inside of the space station so it looked like you were flying over the forest below back home.

"What is this thing?" I said.

"They are from my homeworld. Do you know what a mondro is?" The Alpha said.

I was able to recall it. Massive four-legged bird thing. The teaching machine had filled my memory about them but I had never seen one before in real life.

"Oh right this is a mondro?" I said looking around and relaxing.

"This is Jung. She has the same mind as the mondro I used to ride back home. I couldn't come across this many light-years of space here without my friend. So I had her encoded with the other members of the court. FYI you can let go of my arm. I would appreciate the blood flow back."

I looked down at my hands and realised what I was doing and let go.

"Oh right sorry," I said looking out.

Normally any YA compatible person would be terrified at this point. I'm flying - ok slowly - over the dense black forest below. Fortunately using a flying belt got you used to moving around like this. Confident I was being held tightly by the Alpha I relaxed and enjoyed the flight. We began to fly over a small village. You could see the lights of the stone houses.
