Story Mode 78: Painful Wait

Jumin pulls his tie off and pets Elizabeth who crawls into his lap. He smiles as she rubs her head into his hand. To his left lays the dress that he meant to give to Y/n. He wanted her to keep it, but she purposefully tucked it away in the corner of the car so that he wouldn't notice until she was gone. When he went to insist that she keeps it again... he realized that he needed to get out of his fantasy and back into reality. He lifts a glass of wine to his lips and sips. It's bitter.

His phone rings and he answers it after checking who it's from. As expected, it's neither Y/n nor V. He holds Elizabeth the 3rd tightly, then puts the phone to his ear. "Good timing. Now, tell me what you found out about this Dr. Yun."

~~Over the Phone~~

Chiffon: What was the thing with the wine about?!

Chiffon: Was it all just a trick to test me?!

MC: Why would I waste my time on something like that?

Chiffon: Then what was it?!

MC: Since something a lot worse is coming your way, I'll be extra generous and tell you

MC: The drink you foolishly drank was supposed to trigger Y/n's condition to flare up

Chiffon: What?!

MC: It wasn't a lethal dose and obviously as your health is fine, it didn't take much effect on you

Chiffon: What are you planning?!

MC: It's not what I'm planning.

MC: It's what I'm doing.

MC: I've been tampering with Y/n's condition for quite some time now. I just thought it would make a nice scene if she almost died in front of you

Chiffon: How dare you?!

MC: You're one to talk.

MC: You were planning on killing Y/n yourself.

MC: I'm bringing Y/n to a place where she can finally be happy.

Chiffon: You're sick.

MC: Am I~?

Chiffon: Yes. Now, why did you call?

MC: Take a guess. Use that brain of yours.

Chiffon: ......

Chiffon: You wouldn't have.

MC: You don't seem to understand!

MC: I already did!

Chiffon: What did you do to Y/n?!

MC: Who knows~?
