Y/n's pov
"Good news, we're going to the opera!" Mr. Harrington says, standing in front of our class in the hotel lobby. Everyone is wearing glow sticks, ready for the carnival later. Everyone starts complaining, confused to why the plans have changed. I look at Peter and wink; I told him I would take care of keeping everyone as far away from the carnival as possible. He smiles at me, but we soon return to acting sad. To be honest I am quite sad, I was excited for the carnival of lights, but at least our class will be safe.

"What happened to the carnival?" MJ asks.

"Oh this is upgrade living guys. C'mon, the tour guide company just gave us the tickets... for free. Do you have any idea how much opera tickets cost?" Mr. Harrington says. Ned looks to us and Peter and I give him wide eyes and a slow nod, telling him go along with it.

"No, because none of us have ever wanted to go to the opera... ever." Flash says, annoyed.

"Well I think this is going to be culturally enriching for us." Ned argues. Peter and I nod our heads fast, agreeing.

"Thank you Ned... Everyone, this is going to be, maybe, the best 4 hours of our whole trip." Mr. Harrington says, make everyone start complaining again.

"Guys, I think this is going to be really fun, seriously.

"Yeah, I can't waits to gets my opera on!" I say, making Peter try not to laugh. I subtly kick his leg, as he's next to me, making him squeal slightly. What can I say I'm just that muscular. Everyone looks to Peter.

"Yay!" He says, trying to cover up his little squeal.

"You two are such dorks." Flash says before everyone goes back to complaining.

"What a bitch." Peter whispers in a girly voice.

"I know right." I say, looking at him. We both burst out laughing.

"Stop complaining." Mr. Dell says.

"Go get fancied up and come back down in a half hour, then we can get going to best night of your lives!" Mr. Harrington says. Everyone groans then walks off to their rooms.

"I'll knock on your door once I'm changed." Peter says, as we walk to our floor.

"Cool, although you'll probably be ready before me." I say.

"I'll wait." He replies.

"Cool." I say.

"Cool." He repeats, then we go to our separate rooms.

✨✨✨

I've done my make up consisting of: a tiny bit of eyebrow pencil, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, lip liner and lip gloss. It sounds like a lot, but it looks natural in person. I take out a white midi dress which is covered in tiny blue flower designs. The dress is tight on the top half, then goes floaty from the hips down. I put the dress on. I then tie my hair in a braided half up half down, using blue hair ties to match my dress. I smile, looking in the mirror. I feel pretty. I know I have to take it off soon to get in my suit, but I like how I look for now. I finally put in gold dangly earrings, which have a small diamond on the bottom, and take out the matching necklace. I fiddle with the necklace, unable to do it up. I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in, its open." I say, still trying to put the necklace on. For gods sake, why is this so hard to put on?

"Hey." Peter says, closing the door behind him. I turn around and face him.

"Hi." I say walking up to him, giving him a hug. He pulls away, holding my arms, staring at me. Oh god do I look bad?
