I grabbed a bag of cool ranch Doritos, and walked up to the counter with Key. I threw my chips on the counter with Key's stuff.

" That's all you want?" He asked me.

" Yeah, ion want none else." I said.

" Ight." Key said pulling out his money.

" Kayf Alhal Muhammad? ( Translation: How you been Muhammad in Arabic) I said speaking to the owner of the corner store.

" Hi Caliana, I'm doing fine hubibi." ( Translation: Darling)

When I first met Muhammad we didn't get along right off bat cause he was talking bout my cuzzin. Talking bout how long Trey was taking to pick out what he needed. He was speaking in Arabic while he was talking shit, so I was the only person who knew what his ass was saying. So, when I snapped on his ass in Arabic he was looking dumb as fuck in the face cause he didn't know a bitch spoke Arabic. After, that he apologized, and we've been cool ever since.

He practically watched Key nem grew up, and all the other kids from the block too.

" What you just call ha?" Key said with his face scrunched up.

" He called me darling. Nosey ass!" I said rolling my eyes.

" Mchttt I feel like you lying, but ok." Key said smacking his lips.

" $9.87 Key. Caliana, I swear you and my son would make a great couple." Muhammad said.

Muhammad would always try to hook me up with his son, and was dead ass serious. But his son wasn't my type.

" Muhammad... Cali like hood niggas, so you can give that match making shit up. You can keep the change." Key laughed as he handed him a $10 bill.

" Oh, you just want her for yourself." Muhammad said looking at Key.

" Qul dhlk marat 'ukhraa. ( Translation: Say it again.) " I said laughing as Muhammad gave me a high five.

" 'Iinah muejab bik." Muhammad said.
( Translation: He likes you.)

" 'Ana 'aelam." I said nodding my head. ( Translation: I know.)

" Y'all talking shit bout me ain't it? Say that shit in English, so I can cuss both of y'all asses out." Key said grabbing the bag from off the counter.

" Boy ain't nobody said shit bout you. Now come on. Bye Muhammad." I waved as I pushed Key out the door.

" Bye Caliana."
