Elton's POV

Jake and I waited awkwardly for Brennen to return. We were both seated on opposite sides of the couch. Jake pretty much stared at me the whole time, waiting for me to do something.

"So," I started, "how have you been?" He didn't respond, just glared harder, if that was even possible.

"Jake, chill out. He's nice." Brennen said as he walked into the room. Jake stopped glaring but he didn't take his eyes off me.

"So what happened?" Brennen asked, I wasn't sure if it was my place to tell them or not.

"Well, it really isn't my place to say exactly what happened. Lets just say that Colby did something and now Sam doesn't feel very safe at our house." I was hoping that was all I would have to say. Both of their faces scrunched up with confusion, that was until jakes filled with anger.

"Wait, did he-?" He cut himself off. "Sam was limping when he came in, he didn't do that, right?" I didn't say anything causing Jake to let out a low growl. Brennen soon realized what we were talking about.

"Oh my god, he didn't actually right? This is a prank, this has to be a prank." I put my head in my hands.

"No it's not a prank, that would be fucked up." I said. Brennen stared at me with wide eyes while Jake looked almost scared.

"You-you wouldn't do that to me though, right?" Jake asked after a long moment of silence. He sounded so terrified that I wasn't even sure if it was him at first. Brennen looked up, his face softened.

"Of course not puppy, come here." He said gently. Jake immediately got up and quickly walked to Brennen. They both hugged each other and I couldn't help but aww, earning myself a glare from both of them.

"So how do we fix this?" Brennen asked, I shrugged. I was really out of ideas. Colby had fucked up bad.

"I knew I shouldn't have let him go home, I just had a feeling. God damnit." Brennen thought out loud.

"Hey man, this isn't your fault. You had no idea what he was gunna do. Don't blame yourself." I countered, he really couldn't have done anything.

"Yeah, I know, but I knew he was drunk. I just didn't think he could be that stupid." He sighed. He and Jake had stopped hugging by this point.

"I'm gunna have a chat with Colby when I get home, will you guys mind if Sam stays here for a while?" Brennen and Jake both shook their heads.

"He can stay as long as he needs." Brennen smiled.

"Thanks bro, I appreciate it. And remember, he's a lot more sensitive then Jake is, he doesn't get sarcasm-"

"I know how Sam is, don't worry." Jake cut me off. "I'll help if Brennen is being dumb." He smiled at Brennen who rolled his eyes and smiled back.

"Alright, well, hopefully I'll see you guys soon." I said as I walked out the front door. Now I have to talk to Colby.

Ok so, this is where I stopped writing. Honestly I'm not very motivated to write atm BUT I'm gonna finish it. But before that, I have a question.

Do y'all want a more realistic ending, would be kinda happy but as I said, realistic. Or do y'all just want a 'they all lived happily ever after.

I can do either but the 'they all lived happily ever after' might take longer because I have to come up with ideas. Feel free to leave your ideas (they help me a lot). That's pretty much it, just let me know :)
