Episode: 13x11

Queen: We're on our way.

Pup: All's ready. Waiting for you.

It took Penelope a bit of convincing the team. The case was tiring and even if they didn't have to endure a long jet trip, she knew they all wanted to go home. At the same time, though, she knew they would enjoy hers and Lily's – and sort of Rossi's because he handed them his house so the youngest Agent could decorate it for them – surprise.

So now, after a ten-minute-long speech about how they all needed a break, the team was finally driving toward Rossi's house – or, as he insisted on reminding them, his mansion – after heading home to take a shower and change their clothes. Matt and Spencer were the last to arrive. They stood side-by-side, as they waited for the door to be answered. When the door opened, of course, it was Penelope on the other side. She had a beautiful dress on, matching heels and a bright smile.

"Welcome to our MHM!" She cheered, as they chuckled, opening their arms to receive one of Penelope's famous hugs.

As the three of them walked inside the house, they were met by the already familiar sight of the team's behavior during gatherings. JJ and Emily were in a corner, stuffing their faces with the food already on the table. Tara walked over to Penelope and handed her drink back at her as they both got caught in a great conversation that the two men could make no sense of at all. On the couch, Rossi, with his glass of vodka, was telling a story to Luke and Lily, who, while sipping their drinks – a beer and a wine, respectively – kept interrupting the man with their horrible jokes that, somehow, always made the other laugh.

Spencer smiled when Lily glanced at him and let out a squeal, before placing her glass down and running up to him. Again, he opened his arms and welcomed the familiar warmth from his fiancée as Matt smiled at them both and went to grab himself a beer as well.

"Hey, how are you?" Lily asked, as Spencer kept his eyes locked on hers.

"Good. You?"

"Good." She smiled, stepping back from his embrace and picking on the sleeves of her white and golden hoodie that, for the first time, was actually hers. "Have you seen Alec?"

"Yeah, he's with George." He nodded, confirming that he went home earlier to change. "He seems a lot better."

"The doctor said he's healed now." Lily agreed. "And he seems that way too. He hasn't even coughed for like, two days."

"That's great." He smiled at her, before allowing his eyes to scan the room. "Did you make all this?"

"Yeah." She nodded. "How does it look?"

"Looks great."

"Liar."

"Hey!"

Lily laughed, but before either of them could say anything else, Penelope spoke up.

"Alright, everybody, gather around, let's toast, so we can start eating."

Lily glanced at JJ and Emily and they made her a sign to keep quiet. She laughed, before heading over to the couch where Luke was waiting for her with her drink in hands. She grabbed it from him and watched as Spencer got himself a glass of water before walking toward the small circle her team had formed in the middle of the huge living room.

"Happy new year, guys!" Penelope cheered, as she shoved her glass of wine in the middle of the circle.

"Happy new year!"
