I've been a Funtime Freddy fan pretty much since I first got into FNaF. I mean, at first I was kind of clueless about the games so I thought he was just a recolor of Freddy so I didn't like him at all. But getting into the franchise the psychotic bear started to grow on me. So that was when I saw the video of Count the Ways, back in early November. A freaking DAY after it came out  😖

After that was when I read the summary on the wiki page, watched Dawko's entire summary, and then actually read the book online. All without my parents knowing thank goodness cause well...

I was rewatching the video in my bed a few weeks ago, and I paused on a frame that I thought was a bit unnerving so I made my "unnerved" face. And my dad just so happened to walk in on my "unnerved" face..

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"What are you watching?"

"Nothing."

"Show me now."

"No, really, it's nothing."

"Show. It. To. Me."

And that's pretty much the point where you know you can't get out of it, so I flip my iPad over briefly for him to see. But no, he takes the device and freaking STUDIES that frame.

"Let me tell you all the things. Is this another Friday Nights video?" That is what he called FNaF.

So I nod, and guess what.

HE DeCiDeS tO WaTCh iT!!

FrOm THe bEgINniNg!!

So I go out of my room and hide in the bathroom saying I gotta go, but it was more like I was gonna puke. I felt sick I'm not kidding 😂

Then my younger brother Kent came in there. He was fine with watching this stuff with me, so I wasn't really scared of him. It was more like the unnerved parent sitting on my bed, and I could hear the song too. So I knew which parts he was watching. And I could tell he didn't really like it. So I go in the living room where the rest of my family is to grab a drink. And my mom asks "where's dad?"

I am silent, but then Kent says "he's in VNZ's room!" (Like no I'm not putting anyone's real names in here)

So NOW I had TWO parents in there!!

So me and my younger brother Rick are into the lore so when I said my parents were watching a FNaF video he RACED over there. It was a few minutes before I was called into my awkwardly silent room. Because I could hear my mom yelling a couple minutes earlier about how bad this was. So I walk in, and my dad is laughing, my mom is silently looking from me to my iPad that was now on my bed and not in my dad's hands. So it's quiet until Rick points at me and yells,

"Ha! E X P O S E D!!!"

Me and my dad did have a little chat afterwards, and it wasn't all bad. I mean, he only asked if that was the stuff I'd watch on a daily basis and I said no, and that video was the "worst" one I've seen so far. Like heck no Count the Ways is great. And then he asked if I screen recorded it. I say "mayyybeee". Because yes I was watching a screen recorded version. Like "yeaahh TOTALLY not simping over this VERY UNSETTLING animatronic that's talking about ways to die". But he only laughed so we were all good.

So yeah! This is why I'm extra careful around my parents and FNaF! 😃

I have absolutely nothing against Fazbear Frights, it's just my family isn't really into horror...at all. And they're usually pretty careful about the internet. Not to be saying I'm not careful but still. That night was a nightmare for me (for some reason?) and now it's just "the night I got exposed" 🤣
