"isn't he cute?"

"mm he's not really my type."

"are you serious? look at him!"

nari nudged you as she secretly pointed out a tall boy with unevenly parted copper-coloured hair who sat a few rows in front of you two.

he does give me pretty setter vibes.

"he's cute," you whispered. "but still not really my type."

nari seemed to be satisfied enough with your answer. "do you think he'd give me his number?"

you laughed quietly, rolling your eyes playfully.

you've already gotten used to nari's flirty attitude, and to be honest, it wasn't too hard to deal with.

there were worse things someone can be.

and nari overall was good company.

"he seems cold," you pointed out. "so probably not."

"but how can he be not your type?" nari criticized. "he's literally like the prettiest boy i've seen."

honey, wait until you meet akaashi.

and tsumu, samu, suna, oikawa, sakusa, bokuto, kenma, kuroo, and basically all my friends.

"you should see my friends," you yawned.

now that you were thinking about it, you only just realized that you've been surrounded by a group of the prettiest people on the planet.

"you should introduce me one day," nari pouted. "but still—look at him!"

the boy in front of the pair of you gave a light cough, stopping nari's next sentence.

he didn't look back—but in that moment, you were 100% sure that he had been listening to your entire conversation.

and that's on being an embarrassing bitch through and through—

"oh shit, do you think he heard us?" nari whispered to you.

you blinked in small surprise. nari rarely swore, so it always took you aback you when she did.

you were saved from a reply as the professor walked into the class in the next moment to begin the lecture.

here goes another lecture where i understand nothing😁

"y/n y/n wanna go study at the library?" nari asked you at the end of the hour lecture.

the pair of you had taken all your bags and were just walking out of the giant hall.

"can't sorry," you sighed. "i promised my friends that i'd go and catch up with them since i haven't been hanging out for over a week."

"can i come?" nari asked, like almost every other time you brought up your friends.

"no."
