on a normal day, in a normal world, you probably wouldn't complain about a so-called 'boring' day.

because boring days are the equivalence to simplicity. and life's simplicity was something you generally took for granted. ah, of course. the simplicity of simply existing. without thought, without effort.

simple days were what you worked hard for.

however.

this was not a normal day. and if we're being honest, neither was it a normal world.

the result of it all involved a very, very moody day. you were unimpressed with what was going to be the dullest day of life.

it's not fair.

while you were the one stuck living a mundane day of fucking attack on titan, everyone else was out there, doing something eventful. to say you felt left out would be a major, major understatement.

complaining internally to yourself, you silently continued your struggle of a most unfortunate, boring day.

in summary: you were in charge of watching over the two titans hange has grown to love. (bean and sawney, you think were their names? you never really understood hange's love of the creepy ass creatures, but then again, you've seen more questionable obsessions in your lifetime.)

and while you were at your guarding position of the titans, everyone else was either planning for the upcoming missions, or involved in training days with the captains.

today, you would've been part of the group training with levi ackerman. levi ackerman, the man of all dreams, who was running the all-cadets group training.

all-cadet, except you.

(and a few other cadets from hange squad who were tasked with this 'most-important' mission).

you were there for the sole reason that hange trusted you. and from that trust, hange had assigned you to the two most prized possessions they owned. which you would be honoured about... if they didn't happen to be goddamn titans.

as you eyed bean and sawney, you couldn't help but mentally scream.

seriously, a perfect day of this virtual world to be wasted on staring at two giant ugly naked men?

the two titans both stared, their eyes boring through you, looking like they wanted to eat you. (they definitely do.)

as much as you loved hange (and it was a lot, for the record), you'll never love titans.

what a mundane day.

out of everything, you knew that there were really only three people that you would have to look out for.

you sighed.

maybe i should take a nap.

"y/n?"

you blinked awake.

"mm?"

another one of the guards from hange's squad looked almost amused.

"i don't think taking a nap while we're on duty is a great idea."

you yawned. "but look! bean and sawney are perfectly fine. nothing's going to happen to them."

nothing in the daytime, at least.
