whoever said that life in the twenty-first century is difficult would be completely and utterly delusional.
well, not that you were invalidating the hardships that still come with a modern century—because hell, life is difficult everywhere.
it's just that, the twenty-first century present time day would never be able to compete, when it comes to difficulty levels, with year 845.
not to mention that it was a virtual one, at that.
"run faster! move those legs!"
you groaned as you set off for another lap.
for those that may be unfamiliar with this virtual world that you were now engulfed in, here's the rundown of it all.
you and your friends were in attack on titan. (through virtual reality, of course.)
and the brief summary of attack on titan?
basically. two thousand years in the past, humans were living in three large ass walls since they had to hide from giant naked ass creatures running around—known as a titan. (life in year 845 just so happened to be terrorized by these beasts.)
and by giant, they were giant. creepy-looking, terrifying, and ugly. not to mention, they enjoyed eating humans just for the hell of it.
to say the least, it was a brutal world.
and now, you were at the 104th training corps, which really is a modern-day military camp, except 50000 times harder.
{ ps there are no manga spoilers ever! (since i have not read the manga lolol) but there might be some anime spoilers up until season 2/3 so beware of that! ily all mwah<3 }
{ pps i am very sorry if you are not a fan... i'll be explaining briefly of aot events so u can still understand even without watching the anime. but if u want u can just skip to when this crossover is all over! <3 }
even though it was, after all, a virtual world, it sure as hell didn't feel like one. everything you saw through your eyes, everything you felt...it was nothing less than real.
attack on titan was one of your favourite shows.
...just, maybe not to live in permanently.
"oi."
you turned to see kageyama grinning.
you gave him a half-tired smile. "hi."
what was truly magical about this whole vr experience wasn't just that you can see all the characters you love come to life...but you were able to experience it with your friends.
"why are you running so slow?"
you nudged him. "maybe it's because i'm not built like a fucking volleyball player."
kageyama gave a small chuckle.
since you were right, truthfully.
in the whole training regime, your best friends were a few of the tops of the class, running more laps than almost everyone. (no surprises there, to be honest). atsumu, suna, osamu, and kageyama were running their fiftieth lap (or something around that range) while you, and 90% of the other soldiers, were still on your twentieth.
you looked around, seeing all the familiar faces.
god, you couldn't wait to actually meet them.
"is there anyone i should stay away from?" kageyama whispered to you.
you raised an eyebrow. "maybe you should've watched aot."
he ignored this comment. "so who's the bad guy?"
