one week.

one full week without kageyama.

honestly, could life be any better?

life is always better when you didn't have to deal with ex-friends that have the tendency to fuck up your life.

you yawned as you walked into the convenience store, the same as every other day.

"back again?" terushima grinned as he saw you.

"i want a venti pink drink."

terushima looked at you as if you'd gone insane.

"what?"

"a venti pink—nah only joking," you laughed. "i want my strawberry milk."

"yeah, that's what i thought."

now that you and terushima were friends, it was easier for small talk each morning. and terushima always saved you a strawberry milk.

always always.

as the boy handed you the small carton, he gave you a questioning gaze.

"what?" you asked, meeting his pressing gaze with your tired one.

"nothing..." he said slowly, "other than the fact that a certain someone has informed me that the girl who broke kageyama's heart was you."

you blinked, unable to hide the surprise that flashed across your face.

"excuse me?"

"well, did you not?" he gave you a smile. "hey, it's not a bad thing if you did—kageyama's a nice guy and all, but i've gotta admit that he's cocky as hell—,"

"i didn't."

you interrupted terushima before he could finish his sentence.

to put it nicely, whatever he's heard is pure and complete, bullshit.

terushima raised his eyebrow. "really? 'cos the last time i checked—"

"was it lana that told you?" you asked him, the hint of annoyance seeping through your tone.

"yeah, she and kageyama are old friends of mine and she said that—,"

"then it's not true," you said plainly.

"what?"

"lana is bullshitting you... or kageyama just didn't tell her the entire truth because the actual story is that he broke me. not the other way around."

terushima paused, gazing at you thoughtfully. "you don't seem very broken."

a small laugh escaped from you involuntarily. "yeah no shit. i don't give a rat's ass about kageyama anymore."

{ or so you believe... }

"hm," terushima said apprehensively. "lana just said that—"

but before he could tell you what in the world lana said, another voice interrupted.

"terushima, the usual."

oh great. just fucking great.

you turned to find yourself face-to-face (for way, way too many times lately, by the way) with the one and only—kageyama.

a full week of happiness was really too good to be true.

and now, hell was back.

kageyama scrunched his face in disgust when he saw you. "what are you doing here?"
