if you're being completely honest, you had no idea how you ended up in the situation you were in.

but then again, when do you ever have any idea of what's going on?

sitting in front of you and nari was the exact boy nari had gossiped about a couple of days ago—before she met suna.

it was the boy with copper-coloured hair that gave you the pretty setter vibes.

"i'm shirabu."

nari seemed to be at a loss of words. "sorry but i can't simp for you. i've decided to dedicate my life to a hot ass volleyball player."

you held back a laughter as you gave nari a small kick from under the table. the boy merely looked disgusted.

"i never asked," he scoffed. "why am i placed in this group?"

"good question," you sighed.

for a project that was worth twenty percent of the final grade (because apparently that was the normal for basically all projects when you major in med), the professor had chosen groups of 4.

and after nari did some convincing, the professor reluctantly had allowed you and nari to work together—don't ask how, nari's just magical sometimes.

however, that still meant that you two were placed with two other students, one of whom being the boy with the copper-coloured hair.

"i'm y/n," you introduced. "and that's nari." you pointed at nari.

shirabu did nothing to acknowledge nari. instead, he raised his eyebrow at you. "is your friend here always like this?"

you gave a small nod, looking over towards nari—who was definitely thinking about suna with a vacant expression in her eyes.

"i'm kunimi by the way," the other boy—one with the unbothered expression and dark hair stated. he seemed bored of the group already.

"oh-kay..." you trailed off awkwardly. "so... uh shall we start this project?"

"mhm," shirabu hummed, seeming to care less about the situation at hand.

isn't this some group...one doesn't look like he gives a shit, one is the boy we gossiped about, and the other is daydreaming about my friend.

pulling out your laptop, you created a doc, having a dooming sense that you'll be the one doing most of the work.

the project wasn't difficult, per se.

except that it was.

and it was as difficult as hell.

honestly, it was even more difficult than hell.

it consisted of having to write a full 10 page analysis report on a specific system of the body—and each group had to be a power point presentation at the end as well.

at least there was about two and a half weeks to finish it.

... if we don't count the daily 3 hours of homework. and the fact that you had about five assignments on top of it.
