Nine suddenly pulled me back to reality. I was in deep thoughts earlier and maybe he noticed that I've been absentminded lately.
"Are you alright?" He asked and then greeted the customer, who entered the store, with a bright smile.
We're on our night shift and this guy beside me was still energetic. I don't know how and where he gains massive energies.
"I'm just wondering why he's inactive,"
"Who?"
"Obviously, Daniel. Who else could it be."
The other guy just chuckled. I just wiped my counter and then continued thinking again.
"Maybe he's busy?"
"Law students don't have a tight schedule this week..."
"Maybe he just- wait, how did you know that?"
"I just noticed I saw some familiar law students at the mall once," I answered and he just nodded.
"He's MIA and inactive on socials, maybe there are some matters he needs to deal with," Nine pat my shoulder and I just sighed.
I grabbed a box and went to the aisle. Maybe I need some destruction to stop myself from overthinking or what. Maybe restocking will help me to divert my thoughts.
I was currently crouching, placing some products on the shelf when someone caught my attention. I looked up and there's a guy, he's looking for something, I guess.
"What can I help you, sir?" I stood up and ask.
"Uhm, never mind I already found it. I'm sorry," he said and he just grab a snack. I crouched again and ignore him, continuing what I'm doing earlier.
But after some seconds, I still feel his presence beside me, making me lose my focus on what I am doing.
"Sir?" I asked when he's looking alternately at both of his hands. He's now holding two snacks, different from each other.
Maybe, he can't decide.
"I just can't decide what to buy. This blueberry one, or the strawberry one? What do you think?" I blinked twice as he seriously asked and looked at me, waiting for my response.
"Uhh, I think the strawberry one is good."
"But I don't eat strawberries,"
"The blueberry then,"
"Hmm, I want to try the strawberry too."
"Then take it,"
"I told you I don't eat strawberries,"
What the hell? What's wrong with him? Is he insane or what? Oh god, please pull this guy away from me.
"Just kidding, I'll buy both, thank you anyway," he said and then casually went to the cashier, leaving me in an ugly state.
Maybe he's just power tripping because he always doesn't have a good day. Curse that guy!
