Chapter one hundred two; Tattoos

''Robyn! Calm down!'' Jasmine stressed.

The scene would usually be laughable as Robyn could be freaking out over nothing, but Jasmine didn't think it was nothing in this case. Robyn picked up a pillow from her bed and screamed into it, muffling the high-pitched noise her mouth would emit otherwise. When she was done, she looked back up with the saddest expression and then fell back on the bed.

''What happened over the holidays?'' Jasmine asked calmly and moved to sit on Robyn's four-poster.

They have been back to the dorm for maybe an hour, arriving by train earlier this day. The whole group shared a cabin on the train, it was a little tight, but they managed and they shared whatever happened over the holidays since they haven't seen each other. Lily was slightly ticked off by the unsuccessful dinner she and James had with her sister Petunia and her fiancé Vernon. James only laughed and told her not to worry. Sirius was rather quiet, which was a bit unusual for him and he said nothing about his holidays. Peter said he was with family, Jasmine and Remus explained their dinner with his family and Robyn only talked about chaos at home.

Then eventually they all exchanged gifts as well and Jasmine was just at the point of storing each one neatly away in the dorm when Robyn began pacing the room and mumbling to herself. When asked, the girl looked like on the verge of a panic attack, which then let her into screaming into a pillow. Robyn said something again that wasn't legible, and Jasmine was convinced that she was purposely talking to herself.

''They are all Death Eaters.''

''What?'' This time Jasmine wasn't sure she heard her correct.

Robyn sat up. ''Rosier. Avery. Snape. They are Death Eaters.''

Jasmine did a double-take. ''How do you know?''

Robyn tapped her left forearm. ''They have tattoos on their left forearms. A skull and a snake, they all look the same. It's how they know who's in and who's not.''

Jasmine looked like a fish out of the water, opening and closing her mouth as she tried to process this information. Her eyes flew everywhere in the room before falling back on Robyn. ''Are you sure?''

Robyn nodded vigorously.

''How exactly did you find out?''

''I saw a black stain peeking out of Rosier's sleeve and asked if he got a tattoo. Then he covered it up and dragged me away from prying ears to tell me everything. How it's like a mark the Dark Lord puts on them so they stay loyal to him, and how only the inner circle gets it. He talked about how many members there are and proudly announced he is one of the few younger ones that the Dark Lord actually trusts. He talked about him in such respect it was entirely creepy. He –''

''Robyn!'' Jasmine interrupted her and grabbed her by her shoulders. ''You have to stop hanging out with Rosier. This is getting dangerous.''

Robyn shook her head. ''No. First of all, I'm fine. And second, I just got to him. He trusts me and learning this we now know who to be careful of and eventually even maybe prevent a disaster or two if I pry the information out of him. Just think, Jass. There hasn't been another incident since I started giving him attention, it's been a couple of months, which is a good thing.''

''But this isn't good for you! I'm worried. What if something happens?'' Jasmine didn't want to let go of her. ''I can't even imagine how you talk to him. I know you Robyn, but I can't imagine how you managed to make him believe you're not on the good side of the wizarding world.''
