Chapter fifteen; Hogsmeade date?

The girl should really take up some sort of exercise during her stay at Hogwarts. Only a short run from Hufflepuff's common room along a few corridors had her panting. Including the fact she woke up mere minutes ago, started panicking since she missed morning's prefect meeting, realizing neither of her dorm mates woke her both being gone from their beds and then rushing to dress and leave. She had to slow down to try and wrap the tie around her neck. In the process, in which she failed to pay attention to where she was going, she bumped into another student.

Jasmine already started apologizing frantically when two hands gripped her by the arms. The person shook her slightly making her stop talking. Jasmine laid eyes on Lily who patiently waited for her to calm down before she took in her appearance with slight shock evident in her eyes.

''I was just about to go fetch you for breakfast, you missed the meeting.'' Her eyes still raked over Jasmine's overall look, which nothing else than messy. ''Don't worry though I've come up with the excuse why you couldn't attend and the Head Girl let it go.''

Jasmine almost visibly relaxed and let out a breath of relief. Then she observed as Lily brought her wand out of the pocket of her robes and initiated a charm over Jasmine. Within a second Jasmine's tie was tied, her blouse tucked in and her hair combed with two pins at each side to prevent the shorter hair from falling into her eyes. Jasmine eyed her friend gratefully but Lily still didn't look satisfied. She then muttered Accio and Jasmine's prefect pin appeared in her hand.

''There. Now you're decent for the public eye.'' The redhead commented as she fastened the pin on Jasmine's jumper.

The brunette rolled her eyes though she still smiled thankfully. The girls then turned the way Lily came from and ascended steps to the Great Hall. Together they pushed the heavy doors apart and were welcomed with a warm air full with sweet scents from breakfast food. Lily's hand latched onto Jasmine's and she slightly tugged her towards the Gryffindor table.

''Come and eat with us. It's been so long since you last did.'' A small pout appeared on Lily's face wanting to persuade her.

''But...'' Jasmine already protested as she quickly scanned the room.

Her eyes searched the Hufflepuff table only she couldn't find her trusty companion anywhere. Another tug from Lily then made her look at the Gryffindor table where surprisingly she found Robyn attached to the hip with Sirius. Or more attached to the side since she was nearly sitting in his lap. At last, Jasmine looked at Lily, whose eyes were gaining hope and the brunette nodded.

She allowed Lily to drag her to her group of girl friends, who were sitting right next to the Marauders. The two sat down next each other which made Jasmine sit right across Robyn, though the darker brunette still failed to notice. Her eyes were glued to the boy beside her, who engaged in a conversation with his friends.

''Morning Evans! Pearson!'' A loud confident voice made the two of them look at the boys. Potter was smiling at them and he successfully brought others' attention to the two girls as well. The two greeted back one with a more boring tone than the other.

Robyn unlatched her arms from Black and she leaned forward on the table. ''And the sleeping beauty awakes.'' She called out to Jasmine with a teasing voice.

A scowl appeared on Jasmine as she watched her best friend with a meaner look in her eyes. Robyn chuckled nervously quite quickly sensing why she was receiving that look. ''You could've given me a heads up.'' The lighter brunette grumbled.
