Matthias x Reader: Interview

Matts POV

I was getting the conference room ready for an interview I had soon with a girl who just recently applied to be an editor here at Spellbound. After seeing her resume, I knew I wanted to meet with her. I check the time on my watch to see that she should be here momentarily.

"Matt" I hear Sam call up to me.

"Yes Sam" I answered her heading down the stairs.

"There's someone here for you," Sam says.

I look up to see a girl standing at the front desk waiting patiently. I almost stopped walking at the sight of her. Her e/c eyes sparkled brightly as she looked at me. I smiled at her as I walked closer.

"You must be Miss L/N," I say, holding my hand out to shake her hand.

"That's me. You must be Mr. Fredrick" She says, grabbing my hand to shake it.

Her hands were so soft and her voice was angelic.

"Please call me Matt," I say to her. "If you'll follow me, I have the conference room set up for our interview"

"Of course lead the way," She says smiling.

I lead her up the stairs and into the conference room, "Go ahead and take a seat where you would like" I say to her. She nods as she takes a seat. I sat down across from her and opened the folder I had in front of me. I pulled out her resume. "Okay, so you graduated from (College Name) with a bachelor's of arts specifically in video editing with a few minors. I see here that you listed a few competitions you were in and won first place in. I don't however see any experience listed. What did you do before applying here?"

"I did video editing with a friend of mine. Specifically videos for short stories and music. I have my laptop with me if you would like to see it" She says to me as she moves to pull her laptop out.

"I would love to see it. Mind if I come and sit next to you?" I ask her.

"Not at all," She says looking up at me.

I move to the other side of the table and sit in the chair next to her. I watch as she pulls up one of the videos she has done and shows it to me. To say I was impressed with her work would be an understatement. Her work was absolutely amazing. Once the video is over I turn to her as she closes the laptop.

"I'm impressed. The video editing was flawless. Can you keep up with weekly uploads?" I ask her.

"Yep!" She answers enthusiastically.

"How about daily videos?" I ask.

"If they aren't super long I can. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my work so I talk about my time with editing typically" She answers.

I smile at that answer. "That's great to hear! When would you be able to start?" I ask.

"I could pretty much start now if you would like" She answers.

"Alright then let me show you where your desk will be," I say getting up.

"So you're hiring me?" She asks.

I laugh at this slightly. "Yep! You can start tomorrow. Can you be in by 8 to do some paperwork with me?"

"Yes! Yes absolutely!" She says bouncing happily behind me as she follows me to where her office would be.

I smile at her more. My heart raced at the thought of her working for me on projects. Maybe just maybe I could get to know her even better to take her on a date one day.

Y/N POV

It had been quite a while since I had started at Spellbound working for Matt. It was nice to have people who really appreciated my work. The only problem working here was the massive crush I had developed on my boss. Matt and I had been working closely together with editing videos for Project 863 which just fueled my feelings even more.

I rub my forehead tiredly as I walk from Blue Base to Red Base. I knew that Matt was over in Red Base with Sam, Woods, and Bailey filming a new video for Project 963. I had been featured in a few videos since I obviously work at the studio so if I interrupted a film session it wouldn't be that bad. I walked through the building and back to the warehouse where the team was filming. Upon walking in I noticed Woods holding bolt cutters with Sam standing next to them. They were standing in front of the desk trying to open it. On the other side of the desk were Matt and Bailey.

"What in the world are you guys doing?" I ask as I watch Quinn who was holding the camera pan over to me.

"Opening a desk," Woods says.

"Looks like you're having problems opening a desk. What's wrong with it?" I asked, walking over.

"It's Wesley's desk. The door is stuck on it" Matt says to me.

"Ah, I see," I say looking over at him before looking back at the team. "Do you guys mind me stealing the boss for a bit while you guys work on" I gesture to the desk "this"

"Go ahead," Sam says.

I smile at her before Matt follows me out of the warehouse and into the hallway.

"What's up?" Matt asks me once we were alone

"I just wanted to see if there was anything else you need me to do before I head home," I say looking at him.

"No, I don't think there is anything else I need you to do. The team should be good for the rest of the day." Matt looks at his watch "Are you done for the day? It's a little early"

"Yeah I finished the two videos you assigned me this morning and I figured I would do some editing tonight while I'm home. I just really need to shower after recording that one video with team edge today. I would like you to look over those videos I finished though to make sure they are exactly how you want them." I said to him.

"Yeah of course just send them my way and I'll look at them later," Matt says smiling.

"Awesome! Well if there isn't anything else you need me to do, then I'm gonna head home" I say as I turn to leave.

"Actually there is one thing," Matt says to me.

"What's that?" I ask.

Matt steps towards me, making me back up into the wall. His eyes search mine as he brushes the hair out of my face. He quickly leans in and captures my lips with his, kissing me gently. I immediately kiss back leaning into him gently. His lips move against me as his arms wrap around my waist. Matt was the first one to pull away.

"If you wanted me to kiss you, you should have just asked," I say smirking.

"I wanted to kiss you for a while now, but I wanted to pull the first move. I'll make sure to add kissing me to your list of to-do's" Matt says causing me to giggle.

I lean up and gently kiss Matt again. I pull away when I notice his team watching from the door. The camera panned on us.

"We have an audience" I whisper to Matt.

Matt quickly looks over at his crew. "Really guys," Matt says.

"You were taking too long," Woods says. "and we got the desk opened"

"I guess that's your cue to get back to the desk," I say smiling. "I'll see you tomorrow or feel free to stop by my place later" I wink at him before leaving a flustered Matt standing there.
