Nelson x Reader: Hidden Feelings - Part 1

Nelson's POV

I watch as the H/C scientist runs down the hall chasing after another scientist angrily. She yells at them about messing up a trial on a patient at her location. She had always been very devoted to the research and trials of life serum which is why she became Head Scientist at Syntec Location 3. Most days, I felt as though she was the only one who understood my project and maybe this is why I fell for her so hard. I shake my head as I walk to Wesley about how I could ask the cute scientist out.

I knock on the door before entering after being given permission. "I need your advice," I say before closing the door.

"You need my advice... must be serious," Wesley says jokingly.

"I need your help asking out this girl that I've fallen for," I say to him.

"Oh, this is serious. Who is this lucky girl or guy?" Wesley asks.

"You remember Y/N?" I ask.

"Doctor Y/N L/N, Head Scientist for Syntec Location 3. You like her?" Wesley says.

"Yes," I say to him.

"Hmm. She's a tough person. I'd say just go up to her and ask. Pretty sure she will say yes" Wesley says.

"Just go up to her and ask," I say to myself. "Okay thanks"

I walk out of the office and quickly start asking around as to her location hoping she was still at my location. To my disappointment, she had just left to head home for the day. I decided to take the rest of the day off to go to her house. I quickly got in my car and drove to her house. I get out of the car and go to the front door knocking on it roughly.

The door slowly opens revealing the h/c haired scientist I had come to fall for.

"Nelson?" She asks. "What are you doing here?"

"I had to see you. I was trying to catch you while you were at Location 1 but I didn't get to you in time." I said to her.

"You had to see me? Why are you hurt?" She says looking up at me with caring eyes. Eyes she only showed towards me. "Do you want to come in? You seem out of breathe"

She steps aside to let me walk into her place. I look around before turning towards her.

"Are you sure you're okay?" She asks me.

"Yes. Yes, I'm fine. Listen, I wanted to ask..." I stop to think for a moment about how I should approach this. "Actually, no. I came to tell you that I'm taking you on a date"

I watch her eyes light up before she laughs. "Not going to even give me a chance to say no?" She says laughing.

I lean down towards her smiling "Were you going to say no?" I ask her.

"Nope," She says "I'll go get my coat"

"I knew you liked me," I say as I watch her fetch her coat.

"Oh, did you? Seemed pretty oblivious to all the times I purposely came to see you at Location 1" She says to me.

"What?" I question her.

She giggles slightly "The day I came to Location 1 to ask for help on paperwork. I never really needed help. Or today, Ben never messed up on a trail, he helped me with that plan so I could show off for you"

I stand there in shock staring at her. She leans up kissing my cheek gently snapping me out of my slight trance.

"You missed," I said to her.

"Did I?" She asks.

"Yeah you did," I say back.

"I don't think I did. I knew where I was aiming." She says as she heads to the door.

I grab her and spin her around. My hands immediately find her face as I pull her into a deep kiss. She immediately kisses me back as her arms wrap around me tightly. I knew this was the start of something special as she was the only person in this world who could make me feel the way I did and I was determined to keep her.

She pulls away from the kiss and looks up at me from under her lashes. My breath catches in my throat at how gorgeous she looked in my arms. She smirks at my reaction before leaning up to kiss me only to pull away before our lips could touch.

"Oh that was rude" I growled at her playfully.

She runs out of her house towards my car with me following her playfully. I grab her and spin her around pinning her to my car. I kiss her roughly.

As I pull away, I smile at her "You are already making me fall in love with you" I say to her.

She giggles looking up at me "That's good, cause I can already say I'm in love with you" She says to me.

I open the car door allowing her to get in as my heart sores.
