Nelson x Reader: Is it mine?

"Well maybe if you were home more often maybe I wouldn't feel like this fucking company is more important than me!" I scream

Nelson and I had been fighting over him staying late. I had only asked for him to come home earlier sometimes because I missed him. However it turned into a massive argument between the two of us.

"That's because the company is more important than you!" Nelson yells. "I would choose this place over you any day."

I stand there in shock hearing those words come out of his mouth. Nelson glares at me angrily. "How dare you?" I scream.

"How dare I? You were the one coming in here with the boo hoo attitude about me working late." Nelson yells.

"Because you are never home!" I yell back.

"Leave then! Fucking leave" Nelson growls at me.

"Fine" I say taking off the engagement ring off my finger slamming it down on his desk.

I turn on heels storming out of his off. Scientist stop to stare at me as I leave Syntec. I quickly drive home in tears. I slam the door to Nelson's house before heading up to pack. If he wanted me gone then I was going to leave.

As I was packing, I started to feel nauseous. I run to the bathroom before emptying my stomach into the toliet. I sit back before I open the bathroom cabinets. The box of tampons in there stared back at me. I quickly realize how late my period was. I quickly stumble out of bathroom to grab my phone. I quickly dial the first person who I knew would help me.

"Wesley?" I say when he answers the phone. "Can I stay with you for a bit? Nelson broke up with me and I think I might be pregnant"

"Shut Y/N of course you can. Key is under the mat. I'll stop in my way home to grab a pregnancy test for you." Wesley says.

"Please keep it between us. I don't want Nelson knowing" I say to him.

"Of course" Wesley says.

As it turned out, I was pregnant. Pregnant with my now ex boyfriend's baby. I quickly moved out of town after finding out. I dropped all contact with everyone except Wesley since was helping me with the baby expenses.

7 months later
Nelson's POV

I look at the company spendings. I was keeping an eye on it since I had noticed money was being taking out every month for the Syntec Founder Kin program. It was a program Wesley and I had set up if either of us had decided to have kids. However, this had been going on for the past 7 months and I knew Wesley didnt have a child on the way. I had canceled the money going out as soon as I found it.

I leave my office to go ask Wesley about it. He was in the hallway talking to a scientist as I approached.

"Wesley, are you aware money is being taking out of the accound every month for the Syntec Founder Kin program?" I ask.

Wesley freezes hearing me ask this. "Yes I do" He answers.

"What for? I wasn't aware you had a child on the way" I ask.

"I don't" Wesley says.

"Then why is money being taken out for the program?" I ask.

"Nelson I-" Wesley starts to day when a familiar voice calls for him.

"Wesley?" I hear them call.

Wesley walks away from me just as the persin the voice belonged to walked around the corner. After 7 months apart Y/N was back in the halls of Syntec. She looked the same for the most part except for the belly that was very visible under her dress. Within seconds it clicked as to why money was being taken out for that program. Y/N was pregnant with my child.

Her eyes meet mine as Wesley was talking to her. He must if mentioned me to make her look my direction. Her hands move to her belly protectively. Her gaze turns back to Wesley as she says something to him. She turned to leave which causes me to quickly walk to her.

"Y/N?" I says.

She sighs as she looks at me "Hi Nelson" She says.

"You're pregnant?" I ask.

"Clearly" She says as she gestures to her belly

"Is it mine?" I ask.

She rubs her arms nervously. "Yeah. She's yours" She says.

"She?" I ask my eyes watering slightly.

"Yeah. Ella right?" Wesley says.

"Yeah. Her name is Ella." Y/N says.

"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?" I ask.

"I found out the day we split. I made the decisions to not let her father choose his company over her as well" Y/N says.

"Y/N I didn't mean what I said that day. I was angry and stressed. We had 5 patients die that day. I know that it's not excude but I didn't meam anyone it. Once you placed your ring on the desk I knew I messed up" I explain.

"You hurt me Nelson!" She spats as tears spills down her face. "What you said killed me"

"I know and I know an apology wont take back the words. I love you. I still do even after 7 months." I say to her.

"He was miserable after you left for good" Wesley says. "He actually took off work to find you."

"You went searching for me?" She asks.

"For a month straight." I tell her. I pull the necklace off the held her ring on it. I hold it out to her. "I hope maybe we can fix us. I want to be there for you and Ella"

Y/N gently takes the ring. "This doesn't change what you said to me but I haven't stopped loving you. You're lucky you've left such a big mark in my heart."

"Do you'll give me another chance?" I ask.

"Yes but for her. Not for you" She says sliding the necklace holding the ring onto her neck.

"Better kiss her" Wesley jokes.

I look to Y/N for permission. She rolls her eyes playfully before nodding to me. I press my hands to her face before kiss her deeply. I pull her closer allowing me to feel her belly pressed against me cause me to smile.
