Matthias x Reader: Boss's Feelings

It's been a few months since I was hired here at Spellbound+. I was pretty close with my boss, Matthias, which in terms caused me to develop feelings for him. However, over the course of the past weeks sticky notes have been left on my desk. Each sticky note had a written note claiming how much they care for me or how pretty I looked that day. Each note made me smile so I kept each on. I wished I knew who was leaving the notes for me. I did hope it was Matt in the long run.

I yawn as I walk into my office first thing in the morning. I smile as I quickly notice the note left on my monitor. Roses have nothing compared to your beauty. I picked up the stick note and set it on my laptop before I headed over to meet Matt to ask him a few questions about the latest video he asked me to edit.

"Morning Matt," I say as I knock on the door of his office.

"Morning Y/N! You said you have questions for me" Matt says.

"Yes!" I walk over and open my laptop in front of him revealing the sticky note stuck to the top right of my screen

"You got another note?" He asks.

"Yeah. It's probably my favorite so far" I say to him.

I had told him about the sticky notes when I first started to notice them. They seemed to increase after telling him how much I loved them and how they made my days better.

I went ahead and asked Matt my questions. As he was talking to me I noticed how he was constantly checking my outfit out. I had worn leggings and a tank top today since the weather was decent today. I lean down closer to Matt.

"Like what you see?" I ask, causing him to jump back and blush, mumbling sorry.

I giggle before leaving his office to head to a meeting I had with another team at the studio. When I got back to my desk after my meetings I noticed a rose and another note on my desk. I picked up the note and read it.

I heard you liked my note this morning. Thought it would go well with this rose today by the way. I did like what I saw

I immediately knew who wrote the note. Blush flushed my face as I picked up the rose before heading to Matt's office. Once I was there I closed the door behind me causing him to look up at me.

"It's you," I say quickly.

"What's me?" Matt asks before looking at the rose.

I don't say anything as I walk over to him. I don't let him say anything as I quickly lean down kissing him gently. Matt almost immediately kisses back pulling me closer. His phone ringing caused us to pull apart. He answers the phone seeing it was Woods. I waited for him to get off the phone.

"I gotta head over to Red. Woods needs me" Matt says standing up causing me to nod. I turn to leave only to be pulled back "One last kiss before I go," He says before kissing me quickly.

I want to say that after the day Matt and I expressed our feelings for each other we started dating but we didn't. The exact opposite happened actually. Matt started ignoring me and if I tried to talk to him, he would be harsh towards me. It's been at least two weeks since he and I kissed. Two weeks of no notes and two weeks of being ignored. At this point I was furious, I stomped into Matt's office and closed the door quickly.

"We need to talk" I started crossing my arms over my chest.

"I'm busy" Matt mumbles to me harshly.

"No! You have been claiming you have been busy for two weeks every time I come in to talk to you," I say glaring at Matt as he looks up at me. "I'm tired of this. Two weeks ago we kissed and now you're ignoring me."

"Because kissing you was a mistake," Matt says to me.

I scoff "A mistake?"

"I'm your boss and you are my employee. That's all we'll ever be" Matt says to me.

I was angry now "Fine" I say turning and walking out.

I bump into Woods on the way out who noticed my anger. He tried to stop me but I pushed past him and to my office. I quickly start gathering my things up. I picked up the box I had packed and sit it near my office door. I open the drawer and pull out the shoe box filled with the sticky notes I had kept. I growl in anger as I write a note stating my resignation and pulling my keyfob off my keys. I picked up the shoe box, the note and the keyfob. I walk back over to Matt's office. I walk inside to see Woods talking to Matt. They looked at me upon entering. I sat the things on the desk in front of him.

"What's this?" Matt asks, looking at me concerned.

"I quit," I said looking at him.

"What?" Matt says picking up the things I sat on the desk. He opens the box revealing all the notes he left me. Tears filled his eyes.

"I'll say it again so you hear me clearly. I. Quit" I growled. "Don't try to get in contact with me. I don't want to see you ever again."

I turn to leave the room. Matt grabs my wrist stopping me

"Woods do you mind?" He says to Woods. Woods gets up and leaves the room quietly. Closing the door after he leaves. "Why are you quitting?"

"Why would I stay?" I say not looking at Matt. "Why would I stay in a job where I have to see someone I love everyday who doesn't share the same feelings? Boss or not you lead me on for weeks with notes just to shove me aside."

"Y/N it's not that I don't want you. What do you think the others would think? They would claim favoritism" Matt says.

"Favoritism? You treat Woods like a son. You treat Bailey and Sam like daughters." I stated. "You are allowed to do what you want to do. No one at this studio would mind if we were together. We can keep it professional as well if that's what you want but if you don't want this at all then I'm leaving and I won't be back"

"You're right," Matt says, causing me to turn towards him. "If you give me another chance, I would love to have a chance to show you how I feel about you"

I look up at Matt lovingly before I pull him into a kiss. Matt's arms wrap around my waist pulling me into him. Clapping and cheering could be heard causing us to pull apart. Standing outside the window was a bunch of the employees cheering for us. Matt smiles before picking me up and spinning me around kissing me again.
