Matthias x Reader: Survivor - Part 2

I yawn as I sit on the kitchen counter in Matthia's house. I had been staying here off and on since the phantom was outside my house. I tug on the sleeves of the sweatshirt I had stolen from Matt nervously as I recalled the events of that day. I picked up the glass of water that was sitting next to my legs.

"Y/N" I heard Matt call out from his bedroom. I didn't answer as I heard his footsteps getting louder. He looked over at me once he reached the kitchen. "There you are. What are you doing?"

"I couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake you so I came downstairs to hang out for a bit" I explained.

"You could have woken me up. Is something bothering you?" Matt asks me to walk over to me. He places his hands on either side of my thighs. "You know you can talk to me about anything"

"I know that but I'm fine," I say to him.

I knew he didn't buy my lie as he pointed his finger playfully at me. "You are a horrible liar, you know that. Come on." Matt says, picking me up off the counter.

"Where are we going?" I ask as Matt picks up my water and carries me upstairs.

"We are going back to bed and you are going to talk to me about what is going on in that pretty little head of yours" Matt answers.

Once back in the room, Matt sets me on the bed after setting my water on the stand next to the bed. He walks over to the other side and climbs into bed. He pulls me over to him and sets me on his lap. Matt leans against the headboard.

"Now what's on your mind?" Matt asks me.

I sigh, "I'm scared Nelson is gonna come back for me. My life is just now starting to get better. I finally have back my friendship with Woods. I have you and the girls now. I can't lose you guys. I don't want this taken from me" I immediately start to cry.

"Y/N that's not going to happen. I won't let it" Matt says wiping the tears off my face. "I care about you way too much to let Nelson or anyone else take you from me... Us I meant like me and the team"

Matt's stuttering makes me laugh as I watch his face turn red. He looks up at me with the sweetest eyes. I could read every emotion that was written on his face. Matt pulls my face towards him gently.

"Y/N?" Matt asks nervously.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Can I kiss you?" Matt asks as his nose grazes mine.

"Please" I whisper.

Matt closes the space between us, pressing his lips to mine. I immediately kiss back, wrapping my arms around him. His hands move to my back pressing me into him more as he deepens the kiss slightly. We stayed in this position for what felt like hours but were only a few minutes until we had to pull away to breathe.

"Y/N?" Matt asks once he catches his breath.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Matt asks.

"Yes!" I say quickly kissing him roughly.

Matt quickly kisses me back. He rolls us over so I'm under him. He pulls back slightly and smiles down at me.

"Come on Beautiful. Let's get some sleep" Matt says as he lays down next to me.

I move so I can lay my head on his shoulder. I yawn as I finally start to fall asleep. Matt gently kisses my forehead.

"Sleep well" Matt says just before I fall asleep.
