Ben X Reader: Dancing

Ben's POV

I watch as the girl across from me tosses up a skittle and tries to catch it in her mouth. She was definitely someone who couldn't sit still for long periods of time. Unfortunately that was currently what we were doing. Documents scattered across the table in front of the team who bailed me out of jail to help them with the project.

We were all currently trying to decipher a conversation Deb had with me back when I was still with Syntec. The girl catches the candy in her mouth finally and quickly does a little happy dance in her chair smiling. I couldn't help but smile at her, not that she would see it due to my mask.

"Ben" I hear Matt say, pulling my attention from the girl in front of me. "Explain to me again why Deb had this conversation with you"

"She wasn't exactly thrilled that I was testing serum on myself." I explained.

"If she wasnt thrilled about why didn't she talk to you about it?" Matt asked.

"Because when she told me about Wesley and her, it hurt alot. I became what she claimed to be a 'shy, quiet man'" I answered.

I turn my attention to the girl in front of me who had now turned her attention to the cloudy sky. The clouds were dark and it looked like it was going to rain soon. Her eyes started to light up as the first drop of ran hit the window. She bites her lip in anticipation as she waits for the rain to pick up. As if it heard her wishes the rain started to come down hard.

"Let's take a break!" The e/c eyes girls says turning from the window.

"And do what Y/N?" Sam asks.

Y/N points to the window.

"Y/N you'll get sick if you go out while it's raining" Woods says to her.

It didn't take long for the team to give in to at least walking down with her. Y/N happily runs out into the parking lot after taking her shoes off. The rest of us watch her dance around in the rain while standing under the overhang.

She squeals in excitement as the rain picks up. I couldn't help but laugh at her excitement. My laugh catches her attention. She runs over and grabs my hand.

"Come join me, Ben" She says looking up at me with her big e/c eyes.

"I'm okay with staying here and watching you, Love" I say to her. "I prefer to stay dry"

"Please," She says.

She looked so sad about me telling her no. I couldn't tell if tears were filling her eyes or if it was just the rain. Someone behind me shoves me out from under the overhang and into the rain. Y/N looks behind me and smiles at whoever pushed me out in the rain.

"Now will you come dance with me?" She asks me.

"Alright Fine." I say. She grabs my hand and pulls me out into the parking lot more. "You are very lucky you know that"

"Why is that?" She asked.

"Because I wouldn't do this for anyone else. Just you" I answer.

"Really? Why only me" She asks.

I spin her around using my hand. "Because love, you are such an amazing smart beautiful person." I say to her. She smiles up at me, a faint blush crossing her face. "And I may or may not like you"

"But what about-" She starts to ask.

"That was a really long time ago plus you are so much better" I say to her.

I lift my mask up just enough to kiss her gently. Hoots and whistling comes from the team watching us. I smile as I pull away fixing my mask. I continued to dance with her until the rain finally stopped falling
