Nelson X Reader: I hate you - Part 1

Nelson POV

Everything about her was intoxicating. She was quiet yet outgoing however when it comes to me she does not hesitate to speak her mind. We were about to have a mandatory meeting in about 10 minutes which meant I needed everyone to get to the office. I smirked as I walked to the quiet scientist's office. There she sat with her nose buried in her notes. I knocked on her door frame causes her to look up at me. Her curious eyes turned into a glare upon seeing me.

"What do you want?" She snarls.

"Mandatory meeting in 10 minutes. I expect you to be there in 5" I say to her as I lean against the door frame preparing for her to argue with me.

"No thanks. I would rather continue to work on these notes than to be in the same room with you" She spats.

"Ouch," I say acting hurt "Well that's too bad because it's mandatory and you will be attending the said meeting in 5 minutes do you hear me"

"Yep," She says rolling her eyes.

I smile at my success before leaving to gather the materials I would need to run the meeting. Siz minutes later I head to the conference room. As I walked in, my eyes immediately meets the frame of the quiet scientist who was talking to another scientist. My most loyal scientist, Benjamin Cobalt to be exact. She seemed so happy to be talking to them. This sparked something in me. Something made me angry. Something made me what to separate the two of them.

Of course, she would get along well with him. They were both quiet and hard-working. She was smiling and laughing. Her eyes shined and sparkled. What made it worse was when Ben placed his hand on her thigh, she blushed. I slammed my notebooks down on the conference table causing the two to jump apart. I watched as she glared at me, probably for ruining her special little moment with Ben. I quickly started the meeting so I could pull Ben aside to talk to him about his comfort level with Miss L/N.

The meeting ends and everyone starts to head out. I grab Ben's arm and pull him aside.

"I need to have a word with you" I mumble to him.

Once everyone left, I closed the door and turn towards Ben.

"Have I done something wrong, sir?" Ben asks concerned.

"Stay away from her" I growl at him.

"Stay away from who? Y/N?" Ben asks.

"Yes. I saw you two flirting and you putting her hand on her leg. If I have to tell you to stay away from her again I will have to punish you" I growl at him.

Ben looks at me as if he was analyzing how I was acting.

"You have feelings for her. Don't you?" Ben says to me.

"That is none of your business. Jusy stay away from her. You will not go near her. If you are walking towards her in the hall, turn around. Take a different hallway" I say to him.

"Alright" Ben says reluctantly agreeing.

I let him go smiling proudly at myself. With Ben out of the way she was all mine.

Y/N POV

Ben was acting weird the past few days. This just wasn't like him especially since him and I had gotten so cloee recently. I sigh thinking about it. I get up and walk out of my office. I wanted to see if I could get Ben to talk to me at least for a minute. As I walked past Wesley's office however was when I finally understood why he was avoiding me.

"You should have seen him Wesley" I hear Deb say. "He's so upset. He told me what Nelson said to him and now he has to avoid her"

"Why would he tell Ben to avoid her?" I hear Wesley ask.

"I don't know. Ben really likes this girl even just as a friend." Deb says.

I had heard enough as I quickly walk down the hall towards Nelson's office. This man had a whole thing coming for him.

Upon getting to Nelson's office, I seen that he was talking to another scientist, Scott, if i remembered his name right. Nelson makes eyes contact with me as I reach his door way. I cross my arms over my chest.

"You're free to go then Scott" Nelson says not taking his eyes off me.

Once Scott was gone I walk into his office and slam the door shut. "How dare you?" I scream "How fucking dare you?"

"Now Miss L/N what has you so angry today?" Nelson asks calmly.

"You have me so fucking angry! You told Ben to avoid me and not talk to me. What gave you the fucking right?!" I scream.

"What gives me the right is that I am your boss and personal displays of affection in the workplace is against work policy" Nelson growls at me.

"I bet if it was towards you, you'd be all for it wouldn't you!" I growl. "Sorry to bust you bubble sir, but while you are my boss you are not my boyfriend, you have no right to tell me who I can or cannot see or even talk to"

With that I left. I stormed to my office as angry tears spilled down my face. I knock everything off my desk as I scream in frustration. This man was driving me crazy. I sink down to the floor and sobbed. This is where I stayed for most of the day. I didn't want to face anyone not after being in here for hours crying. I sure as hell didn't want to Nelson right now either however he had other plans.

I look up hearing someone walk into my office. I growl seeing Nelson. "Leave or I'll call security" I say to him.

"You'll call security which work for me on me?" Nelson says smirking. "See how far that gets you."

I roll my eye going back to my work. "What do you want?"

"I'm trying to understand why you are so angry about this morning. I did nothing wrong. You do realize that people stay away from you because you're well... you" Nelons says.

Ouch. Tears started to spill again. Nelson's eyes soften seeing my tears. I slam my hands on my desk as I stand up from my chair.

"Like you're any fucking better. God, no wonder no girl wants to date you. I mean you do experiment on people. They probably think you're a monster" I say to him.

His eyes darken as he glares at me. "I am not a monster." Nelson growls walking towards me. I quickly back up into the wall behind me as he go closer. Maybe I shouldn't have said what I said. "You think you know me so well don't you Miss L/N but you're missing on big detail about me. Let's play a game shall we? You figure out that little bit of information that your missing and come talk to me."

With that he left, leaving me speechless. My heart pounded in my chest. However it was not out of fear. I curse my mind for thinking the way it did. My heart and mind spoke the same thing. I wanted Nelson Syphus to be mine.
