Matt x Reader: The Best Gift.

Streamer were strung across the roof of my office. Balloons filled the floor. Due to it being my birthday everyone was going all out for it. The only thing that was missing was my best friend however it seemed like he had forgotten as it was now 10am and had yet to say anything to me.

A knock on the door causes me to sigh and look up. There soon my best friend with a bouquet of my favorite flowers and coffee. "You didn't think I forgot did you?" Matt asks me.

"Maybe" I say getting up to great him.

"Me forget the day my amazing best friend was born?" Matt says before kiss my cheek gently. "Never. I just had a few things to get this morning like these" He hands me the flowers "and this" He hands me coffee

"Thank you" I say smiling.

"Come on the team and I have something for you" Matt says leading me to Mega Desk.

Sam, Woods and Bailey were all sitting in the recliner chairs already. Matt sets me down before he moves back with the team. I turn towards the screen where a video was waiting to be played. I click play.

"Happy Birthday!" The teams all says through the video.

"We wanted to say a few things to you on your special day so sit back and relax" Sam says in the video.

The video switches over to Woods in his warehouse. "Hey Y/N, happy birthday! I hope you have an amazing day because you deserve it for being such an amazing person. I love you sista" Woods says in his video.

The video switches to Tanner. "What am i doing again?" Tanner to the person behind the camera.

"Wishing Y/N a happy birthday" I hear Sam say.

"Oh right" Tanner says cauing me to laugh. "Happy birthday dude. I mean dudettee"

"That's it?" Sam asks.

The video switches to Bailey who was throwing balloons into my office. "Happy Birthday Y/N sorry for the balloons. It was Woods idea. I can't wait to give you a hug when you get here" Bailey says.

The video switches to Sam. "Happy birthday to one of the best people out there. I couldn't have asked for a better person to call my friend. We love you. Thank you for being alive." Sam says.

Tears spill down my cheeks as the video switches one last time. Matt shows up on the screen. Behind him was me in my office. "Happy Birthday. Right now you think I forgot about your birthday. I promise you I haven't. Ive been working on what to say all morning for a video the team was planning for you and I finally know what I want to say." Matt says in the video. I watch him look me through my office window. He smiles softly before he walks away from my office. "Y/N you have been my best friend for years but recently i've been keeping a secret from you. Something that Woods helped me discover actually and I'm finally ready to reveal this secret to you. Y/N L/N, you are an amazing best friend but I no longer can just be your best friend. Im so madly in love with you that it hurts that I haven't made you mine. I want to change that starting today if you'll let me"

The video ends and the room goes quiet. I look at Matt through the reflection in the monitor that has now gone black.

"Sam, Woods, Bailey. I love the video but can you give Matt and I a moment" I ask.

The team leave Matt and I in Mega Desk alone. Once they close the door, I get out of my seat quickly. I press a kiss to Matt's lips quickly before pulling away. Matt looks at me with a smile forming on his face. He grabs me quickly and kisses me again.

"Is that a yes?" Matt asks after pulling away.

"Yes." I says.

"Yes!" I hear the team yell outside mega desk causing Matt and I to laugh.
