Wesley x Reader: I choose you

I type in the computer as I add notes into the system. The sound of shuffling causes me to stop typing. There shouldn't be anyone left in the building due to how late it was. The shuffling stops right outside my office door. I get up and walk over to open the door.

"Wesley, you're still here I thought you-" I notice him holding his shoulder. Blood seeped through his finger. "Oh my god! What happened?"

"Deb... she shot me," Wesley says gritting his teeth in pain.

"She shot you?" I say as I get Wesley sat down in my chair. I pull open my drawer to open to pull supplies out.

"Yeah," Wesley says pulling his hand away so I could look at the wound. "She took the absolate and ran. She thinks I'm dead and I want to keep it that way"

I sigh, "The bullet is still in your shoulder." say. "I can take it out at my place. You can also stay in my guest room for as long as you need"

"Thank you," Wesley says.

I wrap up the wound as best I could before I help get Wesley into my car. Wesley groans in pain as I quickly get into the driver's seat. I drive as quickly as I could to my house. Once at my house I help Wesley into my house. I lay him down on the kitchen table. I quickly run around the house gathering supplies.

"This is gonna hurt a lot. I'm sorry" I say before I start digging the bullet out.

Wesley's screams echoed through my house. I finally get the bullet out and set it aside. I quickly stitched up the wound before wrapping the wound up.

"Let's get you to the guest room. You need to rest" I say.

Years later and Wesley still lived with me. We were super close. We would both do anything for each other if we could. I smiled as I walked to my car after work. I had planned to tell Wesley that I loved him. To tell him how I felt after all these years. I go to open the door when a hand wraps around my nose and mouth. The smell of chemicals fills my senses and everything goes dark.

Wesley's POV

I check the time. Y/N should have been home by now. I was starting to worry. The sound of the house phone ringing causes me to jump. I reach over to answer it.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Is Dr. L/N here?" I hear a young male ask.

"No, but I can leave a message for her," I say.

I hear the male sigh, "We really need her help." He says.

"Maybe I can help. I've known Dr. L/n for years." I say.

"Say the code" I hear a young woman say in the background.

"We are out of creamer in the breakroom" I hear the young man says.

This had to do with Syntec. "Regular or Vanilla," I ask as I get up from my spot on the couch to get ready to leave.

"Peppermint," The young man says.

"Order Confirmed," I say.

"Our boss is being controlled. We hoped Dr. L/N would know something because she worked extremely closely with Wesley Nathaniel." He days.

"I think I may be able to help you," I say.

After gaining more information, I met up with Woods, Sam, and Bailey, the members of Project 863. They were pretty shocked to find out who I was but it was easy to form an answer for them. We quickly head out to locate where their boss had gone.

We had found him located at an old Syntec laboratory. Upon walking in I could see Y/N tied up against the back wall. There was another person tied up there but someone was standing in front of them. When that person moves I see that is Deb tied up next to Y/N.

"I don't care if you have to force it down his throat but give this to your boss," I say handing a vial of antidote to Woods. "Bailey, take this now" I hand her a vial as well.

I walk out into the open. I watch Deb's eyes widen while Y/N struggles in her restraints.

"You know Nelson it's not nice to type people up," I say walking closer.

"Ah, Wesley. You're still alive" Nelson says looking over at me.

"Let the girls go," I say.

"I will once the S.P.I.R.E is activated," Nelson says.

"I won't let that happen," I say. "Woods now!"

Woods grabs ahold of Nelson shoving the antidote down his throat. Matt takes back over his own body and looks around confused. Bailey and Sam run over to untie Y/N and Deb. Deb runs over and hugs me.

"Oh, Wesley. I thought I killed you. I didn't mean to. Nelson blackmailed me. We can run away as we planned to in the first place. Just the two of us." Deb says.

I look behind her to Y/N. Tears were streaming down her face. My heart hurt seeing her tears. I pull Deb's hand off me before quickly walking to Y/N. I grab her face, gently kissing her. Her hand rests on my chest gently. When we pull away, I turn to Deb.

"Did you think that I would wait for you after you tried to kill me? You shot me and left me to die. She saved my life. I love her now, not you" I say before turning back to Y/N. "I love you Y/N"

"I love you too," She says smiling
