Antonio’s POV
“I know last week was a humiliating loss. I can’t do anything but applaud our team for working hard.” Manny said.
“Amen!” Someone said. 'Suck up' I muttered.
“But, we all know those Jewels cheated. So that’s why we’re planning on getting payback!” Many Saints in the room nodded and agreed.
“We will be playing small pranks on these Jewels just to play with them. No jazzing, just playful hazing. Got that! Loko?!” He asked Loko. Loko nodded but everyone knows he won't listen and will do something extreme.
We sat in the Hub. The Hub is the headquarters for the Saints. It’s located near our home. This means the close proximity means we have quick access to this place. It’s a house that’s nearing its end. We have a meeting room, kitchen (where Dolores makes the best snacks!), and a medical which comes in handy.
“Meeting dismissed. A casa (Go home)!” Manny said. Everyone dispersed and exited. I stayed behind and waited for Manny to finish his talks with Rafa.
“¿Por qué te ves tan feliz? (Why do you look so happy?)” Dolores asked me.
“Hmm, on, nada.” I blushed.
“Conozco esa mirada en tu cara. ¡Estás enamorado! (I know that look on your face. You're in love!)” She teased me. She pinched my cheeks while I playfully slapped her hands away.
“No I’m not!” I said.
“Then what’s with the blushing, hmm? Dime. (Tell me).” She said.
“No, I’m good! I gotta dip! Adios!”
“¡Espere! ¿Tienes una novia? (Wait! Do you have a girlfriend?)” She asked.
‘No, but maybe a boyfriend.’
“No. No tengo uno (No I don't have one). Now can I leave?” I asked.
“Fine. Be careful!”
“Mhm. Adios!” I said. I walked out of the Hub.
As I walked home, my hands reached up to my lips. I can still feel Michael’s hot breath on my face. They fanned my face in a pleasing manner.
I wonder how much a kiss costs?
A kiss from Michael could be priceless.
I wonder when I can see him again without the presence of anyone else. Does he still think of me? I hope he didn’t forget me. Because I sure didn’t. I haven’t been able to think straight for the past few days. All my thoughts are taken up by Michael.
He looked at me yesterday and today with the biggest smile on his face. And who could miss that adoration in his eyes.
Is it that clear that I’m in love? Dolores pointed that out today. Thankfully she didn’t pester on. I probably would’ve spilled the beans with that.
I wonder how Michael is doing with this. Is he freaking out like I am, or is he taking it more smoothly?
