The group was all walking, when Tao spoke up..

"Damn! Those falafels were so GOOD. I can't believe your mum made them" Elle smirked, and nodded her head proudly. "Yep! Mum says they're not as good as the ones my grandmother makes back in Egypt!"

Nick asked Elle. "Do you visit there often? To see your grandparents?" Elle looked down nervously, and played with her fingers. 

"Well.. not anymore. It's really dangerous to be trans in Egypt. You can get arrested, or worse.. attacked. Or even worse than that. And it's because we're being who we are.. I mean, that stuff happens everywhere. But it's a lot more common there, so I haven't been there since I was, like, eleven" 

Tao grabbed Elle's hand, and gave her a reassuring smile. "It's okay! We're your family now!" Tara beamed, and held onto Elle's free hand. 

"Yes. Anyone who doesn't accept you or Copper for who you are is officially cancelled for life!" Darcy smirked, and pointed to the sky. Copper smiled at Darcy, as Nick held his hand gently. 

Darcy ran over to Elle, pushing her own girlfriend out of the way, and wrapped her arm around Elle's. "HERE! Are some reasons' why I should be your new grandma! One- I'm great at baking cookies. Two- I'm extremely wise. Three- If I had any money, I'd give you some.. Four--" 

She went on, and on.. and Tara walked over to Copper, Nick and Sahar. 

"Darcy doesn't get on with her own family. They're horrible people" Copper nodded his head, and Nick whispered. "Oh"

"They're not just homophobic, they're mean to her all the time. They criticize her about everything." The group looked at Tara sadly. Everyone knew Darcy as a bubbly girl, who knew she was hiding her pain. 

"When we met, I assumed she had the best life because she was so confident and happy." Copper looked at Darcy sadly.. "But I realized that people can be going through something.. and you'll just have no idea" 

Nick glanced at Copper. 

"I wish I'd told her sooner. 'I'm here for you.' 'I see what you're going through'" Nick squeezed Copper's hand tightly, but then Darcy loudly yelled. 

"ACTUALLY! It was all just a sob story to get Tara's family to adopt me!" Tara stared at Darcy with a dead-paned face. 

"But then we'd be siblings, and literally no one wants that" They both sent their hands our, and they held each others hands. "But I could sleep in your room!" Darcy pulled Tara into a super tight hug. 

"My mum would make us sleep in separate rooms, and you know it!" Tara laughed, and smiled at her girlfriend. 

Aled looked up at Nick, and asked. "Are you out to your parents, Nick?" Nick nodded his head side to side. 

"My mom yes, my dad.. not yet" Nick did his nervous thing, where he rubbed the back of his neck. "We don't.. see each other very often. I don't really know how he'll react"

Copper slide his hand around Nick's waist, and leaned his head on Nick's shoulder. Nick smiled, and wrapped his arm around Coppers shoulders. 

"But I have you lot. So, I'm okay" Nick added, smiling at his friend group. 

"Paris Squad has each others backs!" Darcy smirked, and walked backwards. 

"...Paris.. Squad?" Tara stared at her girlfriend utterly confused. 

"Hm... 'Gang'? 'Peeps'? Oh, wait, I know.. The Paris GODS!" Darcy threw her hands into the air, and Tara gently slapped her face. 

"Squad works" We all chuckled.

The group was back on the beach, on the sand. When Tao walked up to his girlfriend who was reading a book. 

"Hey, we going in the sea?" Elle looked up at Tao. "You know I don't have a swimsuit" She muttered, and looked back down at her book. 

"We could just paddle?" Tao placed his hand on Elle's back. She smiled, and nodded. "Fine" 

Tao smiled, and grabbed Elle's hand.. as they walked into the Ocean together. Copper watched them go into the water, feeling slightly afraid. He was listening to his comfort playlist, as he hummed to the tone.. 

Copper looked around the sky, the clouds, and the water. While he was completely occupied, someone poked his cheek. Knowing him out of his train-of-thought.
