"Hold still, my sweet."

Wednesday wasn't quite sure what they were doing. Sure, the familiar sensation of thick ropes reminded them, the texture of gloves upon their hands, they smelled sterile and unusually clean. Wednesday took in an inhale, smiling at the scent and the sight below.

"I'm trying to measure the space between, Your molar and your jaw." Barely calloused fingers held onto Enid's jaw, gently moving her head to inspect as they measured out the correct width. they frowned at the thought of getting it incorrect. Especially since Enid kept moving, jerking on the table, Wednesday sighed slightly and gently hit the side of Enid's face. It wasn't hard, but they hoped the force was enough to daze her enough to finish this.

"This caliper, No cause for fear, no, it, it doesn't hurt" Enid whined, her struggling ceasing as she relaxed into Wednesday's gentle grip. She didn't have like it, seeing Wednesday above her, hands and body shielded from her by gloves and an apron. The soft smile on their face didn't quite help the discomfort. What were they doing? Hell, what had she even done to get them to do this?

"It only helps me measure How much skin you have. Oh, and the top most layer of fat." Wednesday smiled, slinking a hand under Enid's shirt, pleased with the yelp they heard from the cold hand touching her stomach. Wednesday let out a soft chuckle, which made Enid look up at them, fear obvious in her eyes. Wednesday pulled their hand away, watching Enid curiously.

"But I won't make an incision, Till you're nice and numb." Wednesday fiddled with a scalpel, looking at it before putting it back down, a plastic mask attached to a large tank sat nearby the table, and Wednesday immediately shifted from it, trying to appear collected as they forced the mask over Enid's nose and mouth. Enid held her breath, unable to tell if there was gas already in her lungs or not. Watching, Wednesday let out a small laugh of amusement. They loved seeing Enid like this, vulnerable, fighting against the bonds holding her down, just as she should've before transforming properly.

"Oh, and laughing gas can be so much fun." Wednesday smirked at the way Enid's nostrils flared, finally out of breath. The wolf snarled, multicolored claws swiping helplessly at them. The idea of her escape had Wednesday captivated, the idea of their wolf fighting for survival against them, it was alluring, tantalizing to the point of considering freeing their sun.

"Please don't doubt my decision." They murmured it quietly, forcing the words out despite the reconsideration. No, this was to make sure she wouldn't leave, this was so their wolf wouldn't leave behind an injured bird. Wednesday picked up their scalpel again, pressing the mask firmly onto Enid's face, watching as consciousness slipped away. They nodded in satisfaction, beginning to work. They glanced at Thing, who stood ready on all of his fingers, the golden retriever laying caged and sleeping. The metal sat firmly in their grip, carefully piercing against Enid's skin. They just hoped that she would forgive her, when she fully became an Addams.
