I bit my lip nervously, trying my very hardest to hide my nerves. Nobody knew I struggled with anxiety; mainly because I kept it a secret. Normally, I never did. All of my family and close friends knew about it.... except for the Avengers. For some reason, I couldn't tell them. Either it never came up, or I was just too chicken to say anything.

Right now, I was sat between Clint and Steve. Tony had been droning on about something, but my mind had drifted elsewhere. My heart began beating quickly and I could practically hear it. I played with my fingers, my eyes searching all over the room.

"I need to get out of here." I thought to myself.

"Y/N, you ok?" Tony asked. His voice sounded distant, but he was right across from me.

"What's wrong?" Steve asked.

"Stop..." I thought again.

"She looks like she's having a panic attack..." Tony whispered. Tears prickled at my eyes.

"Why can't they just shut up?!"

I stood, rushing out of the room. I heard someone yelled at Tony as I slinked down the wall, holding my head in my hands. I drew it back, resting it on the wall. I breathed, trying to catch my breath. Nothing helped; I remained heaving for some air, tears rushing down my red cheeks. I didn't bother to turn my head when someone walked in. Clint kneeled down in front of me, a small smile on his face.

"Hey..." He whispered. "It's ok. C'mere."

I complied, crawling into his arms. He easily scooped me up, holding my shaking body in his strong arms.

"What's wrong?" Clint muttered in my ear.

I didn't answer; simply because I didn't know what had triggered it this time.

Clint laid me on my bed, helping me sit up. He looked in my eyes for a moment before kissing me. I reacted shyly, only leaning forward a bit. Clint pulled back, wrapping his arms around me for a hug. We sat in silence for a moment before he spoke up.

"You don't have to hide your anxiety. We're all here to help you." He paused for a moment. "I used to hide all of my feelings. Being some high and mighty super-hero doesn't give much time for emotions. But that's the good thing about this team... we're a team for a reason."

I smiled sadly, looking up. "I don't know why I never saw anything..." I mumbled.

"It's alright, Y/N. Now we can help you, though."

I nodded. "I'd like that." I paused, thinking my next words over. "Did you just kiss me to calm me down?" I asked nervously.

Clint chuckled, shaking his head. "I've been wanting to do it for a while, but I saw the chance, just now."

I giggled as I saw him blush, leaning in and pecking his lips again. "Well, whatever you were trying to do, it worked."

Clint held my hips, pulling me on top of him. I squealed, pecking his nose.

"Hey!" A voice called out. I turned to see Tony scrunching his face with disgust. I rolled my eyes, making a shooing motion with my hand. He rolled his eyes, leaving nonetheless.

I turned back to Clint, placing another kiss on his lips as a thank-you.
