why?

Shavarn was looked over by a doctor, he was given crutches because he was shot in the leg by Dee. He lost a lot of blood but he was free to go home. Everyone was at Dee and Reece's, Deme came in Reece's car, Dee, Tyrese and Shavarn went in Terri's, Kevin,Santana, Sanaa went in Brandon's.

"Shavarn...how are you,you know...alive?" Terri asked once she stopped crying.

"Well, back at the hospital I went into shock, I felt like I couldn't breathe. I could hear everything you was saying, Terri I couldn't call out and it killed me knowing I caused you to get upset." His voice broke as he started tearing up but he carried on talking. "Well it turned out, the doctor who was dealing with me was part of a gang. The gang wanted me but they knew I wouldn't have come with them if I was with you guys so he put a drug in my vein, it stopped my heartbeat for twenty four hours, that's why I wasn't moving when I was put in the coffin. He dug me up and took me, I was tortured to the point where I wanted to die, that's where I met Deme, she's the only reason I'm still here. She gave me a reason to live, she gave me her heart." He smiled at Deme,making everybody say "aww."

"So Reece? How do you know Deme?" Dee cocked her head and smiled at Reece, he shifted his collar and started talking. "Well, she happens to be my cousin, I lost touch with her a couple years ago but I'm glad that you're back." Reece gave Deme an award winning smile. Dee didn't believe what he was saying, she would find out more later. "How do you know Deme?" Reece asked. "Well, it's funny you would say she's your cousin because she's my cousin! Isn't that great. Now would you tell me the truth?" Dee started off humorous but she ended in a hostile tone.

"Well, we're all going now. Come on...." Everyone left apart from the two people who lived there. Dee's phone rang, she went to answer it. "Hey baby girl, it's me, Deme. I just heard that you and Reece are together, he tried to kiss me in the car, obviously I blew him off but I thought you should know. I'm sorry baby but you're family, I don't keep secrets from family." "Thank you for telling me, there's nothing for you to be sorry about, it wasn't you're fault. I'm going to go speak to him now, I love you big head." "I love you too, bye." Deme hung up the phone, Dee wasn't going to say anything yet, she wanted to see if he would admit it.

"I'm going to bed,goodnight." Reece said, Dee ignored him, she wasn't about to blow up in his face, first she was going to snoop. Dee walked around the huge house,trying to see things she didn't know about. Dee came to a room that she hadn't been in before, it wasn't locked so Dee went in. There was a desk in the middle of the room, on the desk was a safe. Dee typed in Reece's birthday, it didn't unlock the safe, she typed in Reece, it didn't unlock. She typed in Dee, it unlocked. Dee smiled to herself but what she saw inside the safe wanted to make her cry.

Inside was a picture of Deme and Reece kissing, Dee knew it wasn't recent, there was a date in the corner. It said 05/5/14. That date was two years ago. Where they first loves? They would've been 15 and 16, so if not first love they would've been childhood sweethearts. Why would Reece lie to her?
