Dee burst out laughing. "Marie, now's not the time for your bull-" "I'm telling the truth." Marie insisted. "Explain. Now. I mean, I know Sanaa and I aren't related but your lies might amuse me." Dee folded her arms and shifted her weight on to one leg.

"Thirteen years old. I was thirteen years old when mother banned me from ever returning home." Marie sighed as she thought back to eleven years ago.

"Marie!" Her mother shouted, balancing a two year old Dee on her hip. Marie ran down the stairs of the house and walked towards her mother. "Yes?" She called. "I need you to take Dee and play outside, I have a friend coming over." Marie rolled her eyes, Marie was a bright girl, yet her mother treated her like she was an idiot. Marie knew what type of "friend" her mother was inviting round.

Marie picked up her too small jacket and put on her white Nike trainers that were more an off yellow than white. Marie and Dee left the house.

"Dejarnè Raegan Reed! Slow your little ass down!" Marie laughed as she ran after Dee, flicking her hair over her shoulder. "Reed?" A man in his mid twenties asked, Marie nodded her head. "By any chance,is your mother's name Cerise Reed?"

"You know what? I'm not listening to your idiocy anymore. I'm going to call Adrian." Dee cut Marie short,Marie walked off,as Dee brang out her phone. "Dee the costs for the call-" Sanaa started. Dee glared at her, not losing eye contact as she spoke.

"Did you know about this?" Dee yelled, Sanaa flinched at Dee's tone. "What,no. If I knew-" Sanaa took a step back. "Hush! I'm calling Adrian."

"Hey baby girl,how-" Adrian started. "Save it. Adrian I'm going to ask you a question, if you lie to me I promise I will be done with you but the only other option is that you lied to me from the beginning." Dee's steely tone hardened with every word.

"Do I, or do I not have a sister?" Dee sighed. "I think you have a big sister-" "Damn it Adrian, you know full well who I'm talking about. Last chance, do I have a sister and did she know about me?

Adrian went silent before letting out a long sigh. "Yes, you have a sister and only Marie, your mother and I knew. I'm sorry Dee, I met her mother before I met yours, we were no more than a fling until I met your mother who was the love of my life. Now I'm guessing you've met your sister?"

"She's standing next to me." Dee struggled to keep calm. "Dee, please, I should've told you when I met you-" Sanaa cut him off. "I grew up in a care home because my mother didn't want me,she blamed me for her falling out with her boyfriend. It was all you. Everything. Was your fault." Sanaa walked off, leaving Deme and Tyrell jogging after her.

"Dee, you know I love you, please, I made a mistake-" Dee started laughing. "Hold up, so because Sanaa was a mistake, you let her mother fend on her own? Bye Adrian." Dee hung up the phone, she was so angry, she started shaking. Byron pulled her close, kissing her forehead.

"Let's go home." Byron whispered in Dee's hair. "No, I need a drink or two." With that, Dee walked in to the club.

Dee needed something strong, something that would make her forget all about tonight.
