Dee sat up and looked around her. "She's awake." She heard someone whisper. Dee clutched her belly. "Is it alright?" She asked. "Dee, you fainted, you-"
"I asked you is it alright?" Dee's tone was firm.

"Yes,your baby is perfectly fine." The doctor smiled. "That's all I wanted to know, I don't care about what happened." Dee sighed. "You should care!" Byron yelled.

"Dee you're not going to like this but I called him." Byron sighed. "Him? Who's him? Byron, what did you do?" Dee yelled, Samara covered her ears. "He called me."

Adrian strolled in to the room. "It's nice to see you baby girl." Adrian smiled. "I wish I could say the same." Dee rolled her eyes.

"I blame you more than I blame myself. Adrian why didn't you tell me? If I knew I could've helped her a lot sooner!" A tear rolled down Dee's cheek.

"Tell you what? I don't know what you're talking about." Adrian scratched his neck. "Come on Sammy, let's go outside." Byron picked Samara up and walked swiftly out of the room. "Stop bullshitting!" Dee threw the plastic jug that sat by her hospital bedside at Adrian who quickly moved.

"I honestly don't know who you are talking about, calm down!" Adrian shouted. "Sanaa, dad!" Dee screamed. "I mean, Adrian. You never told me about her." Dee's tone became hushed and venomous.

"Did you know what she went through? Did you know the type of life she led? Adrian, she grew up not knowing who her parents were, all she knew is that her mother couldn't cope because her father didn't want her. Because she was a mistake. Adrian I despise you right now, you know that right?" Dee let out an emotionless laugh.

"I'm sorry Dee, I want to make it up to the two of you." Adrian pleaded. "Your too late. Nineteen years too late. Adrian, she was only nineteen, only nineteen." Dee cried.

"What do you mean?" Adrian frowned. "She's dead Adrian, she's dead and do you know what? She didn't know her parents, she grew up on her own, she gave birth to a child, she's two now. Adrian I can't do it, I can't bring myself to tell her that her mummy is dead, we haven't even given her a proper burial yet." Dee wiped away the ocean of tears on her face.

"Dead? She's gone, my baby girl-" Adrian was cut off by Dee screaming. "Don't! You didn't even know her! You was a lousy father to us both so don't you dare, don't you dare call her baby girl!" Dee hit Adrian repeatedly.

"You see that little girl in the hallway?" Dee pointed to Samara who was playing clapping games with Byron and laughing. "That's Sanaa's child, my neice and do you know what the sickest thing is? Do you?" Adrian shook his head. "She won't ever get another kiss, another hug or even another I love you from her mother. Sanaa's last wish was that she wanted me to raise her as my own, that girl, my neice is going to be legally known as my daughter. I will treat her as my own, I will raise her to be a respectful woman and him," Dee touched her baby bump. "To be the perfect gentlemen. I don't need you in my life, in my eyes, I don't have a father but they will. They will have a father that loves them, Byron will be the best father ever." Dee smiled.

"Dee please, let me help you, let me be in their lives." Adrian was on his knees. "You want to help?" Dee smiled again, Adrian nodded his head. "Then leave. If I need you and that's a very big if, I will let you know but as for now, leave." Dee pointed to the door, Adrian dragged his feet as he left the room, Samara ran in.

"Who was that mummy?" Samara frowned. "Nobody, you probably won't see him ever again." Dee sighed.
